the first observationof grav. waves was on 14/09/2015, not in 2016. The paper was published only in 2016 because they needed a second event in order to confirm the data

The article discusses the topic air conditioning, specifically addressing the benefits of using it. The lecturer however, disagrees with the article’s perspective, stating that use of air conditioning has bad effects too. First the author explains that air conditioning increases the air quality, suggesting that it provides clean air by maintaining the regular humidity inside the room and guarantees pure, fresh and less allergic air. In contrast, the lecturer refutes this, stating while using the air conditioning, the inadequate ventilation causes indoor pollution. In addition he notes that germs and other harmful substances accumulated in the air conditioning surface ultimately create health problems, if not maintained properly. Next the reading asserts, that use of air conditioning provides productivity and increases cognitive performance. The passage further elaborates that due to pleasant temperature people’s concentration during work increases, leading to high productivity and efficiency. However, the lecturer points out flaws in reasoning, stating that the air inside the enclosed room produced by air conditioning is artificial and cannot be as beneficial as fresh natural air. He goes on to say that artificial air increases restlessness and induces physical pain in the body. Finally, the author contends that use of air conditioning improves sleep and people can have a good sleep-cycle. Based on this, the article also suggests that air conditioning manages the ideal temperature inside the room which induces good sleep ultimately helping people’s general well-being. On the contrary, the lecturer casts doubt on the claim stating that the dry air from the air conditioning annoy some people at night and makes breathing difficult. He further explains that air conditions makes people so dependent on them, people cannot sleep when it is not available.

Q13 in listening section is hard to argue that the answer is NOT d. The lecturer sounds pretty amazed to me, don't know how one would say he is proud instead. Feels like it could be any of those options.

The article introduces the topic of the supreme dominance of soft skils in the labor market. More specifically, the writer discusses the prevailing role of sof t skills such as communication, problem-solving and EQ which stands for Emotional intelegence. The lecturer in the listening disagrees. He believes that soft skills are overstated and technical skills are still in prevelance. In the reading the author begins by stating communication skills which play a prodominant role in the workforce. The lecturer, however, disagrees with thjs viewpiont. He states that advanced technologies take over the most impudent part of collabration by emailing texting in the workplaces, thus verbal communication does not contribute to the process a lot. The author also claims that problem solving skills are critical in twenty first century work market. Once again the lecturer believes there are flaws in the writer's argument. The speaker holds that AI generates more conducive and practical solutions rather than human brain. He suggests that if the heads of company invest AI rahter employees they are more likely to recieve positive outcomes. Another reason why the author feels people skills matter is that the existence of EQ which brings about self-regulation, implus, certain behaviour. The professor in the listening is doubtful that is accurate. He claims that technical fields such as Computer science, IT require technical skills. In conclusion he believes that the dwan of AI era did a 180 degree shift in every field.

This question is a bit tricky, but le me share my thoughts. I found both Peter and Helena offering valuable insights. I agree with Peter when he talks about fighting against poverty. On the other hand, Helena mentions about burden on taxpayers, and that also makes sense. However, I have my own view. I believe that UBI not solve the problem, it create more problems. I believe that everyone live thier life which depend on their income and this makes sence, because if anyone give them money to alleviate their pain and reduce income inequality then they depend on it, they didn't do hard work to improve their lives. Also it creates burden on taxpayers as Helena said. That's why I am concerning about problem rather than it solve a problem.

The article introduces the topic of the effect of technology on job market. More specifically, the writer discusses the three arguments about the effect of technology on job. However, the professor in the listening challenge the writer's arguments. According to the reading, the writer claims that due to automation and AI, number of jobs is reducing, but this technologies also creates jobs like data scientists and AI experts. But, the professor arguing that the fear of reducing jobs is overstated. He says that no job will loss, for instance, as the number of ATM machines increases the jobs of teller also increases. So in that way valuable adding services will grow rather than reducing jobs. Furthermore, the writer believes that companies value are changing as result of technology, as robot do word of human. In the contrast, the professor explains the required of skills to create or produce such technologies required solid technological skills which is not replace by soft skills. Due to that many people still learning coding. Lastly, the writer says that gig economy has also grown as a result of technology and create flexibilities in work. However, the professor points out a problem, he says that digital platforms create new jobs, because recently pandemic showed that gig economy is highly volatile, many people loos their job during pandemic because of this economy. So it increases the full-time jobs requirements of people.

The lecturer talk abot the challenges an expansive public transport can posses, if it is not planned well. The author of the passage, however, builds a positive corelation between the public transport and the urban economic and social growth. First of all, the lecturer asserts that a there is no guarantee that a expanding public transport will always lead to a great urban planning. He contends that sometimes this type of transportation tends to spead the cities in a haphazard and unplanned way. The author of the passage refutes this idea, according to the author, a public trasport will create a well planned urban infrastucture like including corridors, hubs and will create less reliance on private trabsport will help. Clearly the lecturer and the author are in disagreement with the potential of a public transport in the development of a city. Secondly, the lecturer agues that focusing more on public transport as the only means of economic development will tend to shift the municipal budget from education and health to pransport, relying too much on its potential. The author on the other hand belives in the idea that a public transport is the key to attract more investment and economic benefits like jobs for the public. Both the lecture and passage brings different views for this. Lastly, The lecturer goes on to say that public transport is far from universalising its benefits to social upliftment. as public transport might leave the marginalzed section behind. The pasaage on the othe rhand binds together the the public transport and the bridging the socio economic divide and assumes that ultimately it will bring fairness in the society. All in all, the lecturer and the author are in disagreement on the topic of potential benefits of a transport system of a urban settlement. This emphasis that a concious planning is important in bringing the ideal change expected.
