What still makes me wonder is, why Wing lost to Kaji🤔🤔🤔 even though I think Wing is more precise in technique, has a more neatly arranged musicality, and is definitely cleaner.

Tag teams have been notorious to just be a giant mishmash of sounds and never giving a proper pause. But with jairo a lot of their drops are off of silence or they use and incorporate silence to make the next verse or the beat drop much more impactful. That's why they're so successful with how hard they punch with each verse they're not rushing they're making sure there is pauses.

I really was kind of let down by kaji. I really loved his 2nd round intro, very powerful. With that intro he could have gone for something really powerful and different. I like both of them and I was most impressed by jullards counters and his first round beat with the click roll inserts. Fire. But I wish that kaji did something to have a fighting chance. I wanted to hear more from him. I know he is a bit messy but I think he has a good chance this heary

There's definitely some unnecessary hate, baseless criticism can be dismissed baselessly. However, there are some very clear stylistic differences that mean on a subjective basis, if you value certain aspects of beatboxing above others, you can very legitimately prefer Osis. I come from a jazz/classical background and, while I recognise the importance of power, what draws me to beatboxing is the incredible sound pallet. For me, if you take Julard's rounds outside of beatboxing they immediately fall flat because they just don't really sound that good, but Osis's rounds would hold up much better. That all being said, Julard brought all of the right stuff for the battle and the venue, which is a skill unto itself. I can absolutely understand why he won, and I have no issues recognising the skill that he has. However, that also does not mean that he is unassailable, that all criticism of him is invalid or that it is not possible prefer Osis. Well, not exactly like the KZbin comments section is the best place in the world for measured discussion though.

Osis is close friends with D-low. D-low got 2nd place in 2018 against codfish and won in 2019. Yes it's rare but I predict a final with Osis vs Remix/Napom next year

I think Osis saying 'give me some substance' sums up my feelings about Julard pretty well. I might just be biased, but I don't find Julard's style, sound kit or patterns very interesting or appealing. Just a shame that Osis' second round fell flat except for that nasty inward bass drop and the Frosty shoutout.
@liamanderssonbjorling205417 күн бұрын
i mean i dont know if im just a beatbox nerd but i find julards style very interesting because he is using sounds we all know but in a such an elevated way that u can say his power on these sounds is what makes him original and unique

osis beat is repetitive, he used his patterns vs remix and julard also, he do have a style but round 1 of julard just destroy osis really bad xd
@szy.63715 күн бұрын
i completely agree with you like i have nothing against julard but personally osis' style is just so unique and i feel like there is a new routine everytime, whereas with julard i feel like his sound kit is so limited and he relies on his power, i dont understand how remix can lose to osis and julard beats osis when in my opinion remix smoked osis and osis and julard was much closer, i just feel like osis won this for me although i cant discredit julard's rounds because they were good too but they just felt rather reprtitive to me
