The manual states 15 nm not 20. From an official brp video I would expect accuracy. I over torqued my drain plug now as a result. I trusted the information from the manufacturer to be accurate as this is a video to assist in performing your own maintenance. Bro needs to be accountable.

In the interest of full transparency, it would be very helpful if you disclose how you were able to get the third (rear) wheel up onto the ramp. I was unable to drive both the front and rear wheels up onto the ramps. You either get the fronts or the back, but not both. I have already spent the money for two sets of ramps, the oil change kit and all the tools, so I'm stuck like Chuck. Please consider answering the question regarding how you got the rear wheel up onto the ramp. If you used a jack, where did you place it to raise the rear wheel and not damage the spyder? Thank you in advance for your help.

probably easier to back it onto the ramps. you can also just drive it onto the front ramps and jack up the rear

If you want to remove all the oil remove both plugs at the bottom of the engine. Then push the throttle all the way in and push the starter button for 8 seconds. The engine won't start and it will empty the passage ways. BRP tech gave me this trick because every oil change the whole oil kit 3.5 qt wouldn't fit I was always over full on the dip stick. I was always left with 0.5 to 0.25 quart of oil to not be over filled.

Oil changes should be a 15 minute job. Removing multiple panels for something as simple as an oil change is ridiculous.

Pull the upper and lower of passenger seat AND the middle seat and the carpet behind those. You made the video look pretty easy of him just lifting them out. You neglected to show him removing the bolts to remove the seats. What a joke just to access the oil filter.

@@spoonmonkey8971 Also, if you were misdirected , used a Torx to try to remove the big plug and messed it up, you may be able to hammer in the proper Allen #6. The inside is only messed up at the top.

me too, I have 3 Rino ramps, the front pair is no issue, forward or backward. but the third seems to be no go. I set up for a backing routine and the fronts reached about 6 inch up ramp and the rear shot forward jamming under frame in front of muffler. oops

How about a video for the '012 RT
@douglasmontgomery6315
@douglasmontgomery6315 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the video. However, I think you should mention break-in and performing this service BEFORE the 3000 miles. Even your website FAQ page mentions typical industry standard break-in oil changes. Ask anyone in the motorized business (automotive, engine rebuilders..etc) and they will tell you (there are MANY YT videos on this topic as well) that the first couple hundred miles will produce elevated metal fillings/wear after the machining process. Getting those out early does nothing but provide peace of mind and possible reduced wear down the road.
