Good system, I like it would make a lower 24kwh car a possibility. It is almost enough for all my drives. But got the rare 4-6 trips per year it risk of wont be enough. Had a friend buy an ev close to me and charge here..he needed a Tiny bit more to get home thought. 7 chargers on the way map, but ya Nightmare as busy, broken, broken, removed, broken, broken,busy (him with basically dry standing behind the other hoping for a charge 1h later yay! and he could get home. Need about 4-6kwh more😂. Hum 1-2 batterys and charge them with a small generator (takes time but no longer hesitate on range, i never want to experience what he did on my way to him😂)

I feel like this conversion is over the top a basic 200 to 500 watt setup would work just fine

That inverter, is very much obsolete. I would have found a way to connect the batteries with the main battery together.

How/where did you exactly attach the wires from the inside battery charger that go to the controller? I’m taking about in the inside of the battery charger compartment.

good way to disconnect the batteries from the charger is probably an electric relay , one rated at 250 amps or so

And I will need two gas lines if I am going to make a fire pit and a BBQ grill or just need one gas pipe ? the fire fit and the BBQ will be separated from each other 25 feet

3x120Ah lead chemistry batteries would get you 4320watt hours but realistically if you want those batteries to have a life youve only got half of that…. How many extra miles would 2160watt hours of charge get you? What size battery pack is in your car?

It may be interesting to put enough lithium cells in series to match the car’s battery voltage, then just connect them in parallel with it, so they’re always helping out, and there are no inverter and charger losses.

You should try a supercapacitor bank. Put a small solar panel on the roof of the car or have a pole mount attached to the car and have the solar panel track the sun. Solar panel charges the supercapacitors and when full can DC fast charge to the EV. Throughout the day the cycle would repeat.

5 batteries "2 miles per battery" ========= 80-90 miles? What am I missing here?

This would be much practical if you can do dc to dc charge a EV. A Li ion battery or a power bank would be much smaller and practical.
