Don't like the swa going round the bottom of the shed always better to go round top of shed or garage and go down to socket or switch Flexi kopex ok but from the light switch through the lights and down to faraway socket that's just one straight run and spur beside light switch then kopex out the side of light and down to the other socket job done also I would have used pvc knockout boxes they don't break if you knock them

Can't find what are requirements for this EICR pass. So if anyone can answer. Had my property chacked and report says I need to replace 2 lights on top floor. Because they have metal body and don't have CPC. But they are LED lights with transformer to 12 V DC. And I'm wondering what exactly they want to earth?? Sounds as BS😮

Would this work when you have to strip longer lengths say a meter for inside large panels? Been really struggling to do this, especially with 4core FP. Bloody hard work, stiff as f**k and often wrecks the inner wires as you pull!
@ElectricianTV2 ай бұрын
It is tough stripping it what I normally find is you do about a foot at a time unless the cables is really crap and then he could probably get over a meter a time
@skabbymuff1112 ай бұрын
@@ElectricianTV We tried a foot at a time, half a foot at a time, less. Was still a gamble as to whether the inner conductors were wrecked and ridiculously hard work with two of us tugging away at the 4-core!

I’ve tried many voltage detector pens and for sure the Megger VF5! And the newer VF6 is the best I’ve ever owned. Great quality device

I would wholeheartedly say the fluke ones are the best. I find since I made the video that the meggee ones become really unreliable after the battery goes low.
@krcright97462 ай бұрын
@@ElectricianTV Your correct. once the battery goes that little bit to low with the megger one. they don’t play ball. My old DiLog one use to do the same though.

I've been a member of Unite the Union for six years and not once have I heard a single thing about the Labour party from them! It might seem very random they they are sponsoring the books, however it make sense when you look at the various unions that were merged to form Unite the Union, and that fact that the electricians section is very militant, especially in relation to health and safety violations! The "Electrical, Electronic, Telecommunications and Plumbing Union" (who were pro-Thatcher), merged with the "Amalgamated Engineering Union" into the "Amalgamated Engineering and Electrical Union (AEEU)" in 1992. In 2001 it again merged, with "Manufacturing, Science and Finance" to become "Amicus". "Amicus" finally merged with the "Transport and General Workers' Union" in 2007 into "Unite the Union".

You only have to go to their offices, mate, and they hand out labour candidate stuff it’s embarrassing. If it wasn’t for my JiB card, I would never ever enter any union building.

Little tip. R2 lead on the real... It looks like u carry reel with you to test.... Take a reel, start uncoiling it at furthest point leaving the end ther. Walk with the drum to the board or MET or where ever u want to connect to earth terminal. Grab your tester pop R2 end in and just walk back to the Dab from there checking all the points for cpc... a lot easier than taking drum with you.
