Technical deathmetal as well as slam, brutal deathmetal is for wussies. The names of these bands tells me their shit with their technical names. Cryptopsy and Death are the only good bands in this list.

The Key is such a boring album to listen to. I don't care how complex and difficult it is to play musically. There has to be something that draws the listener in and keeps them along for the ride.

I wouldn't have included Gatecreeper or Six Feet Under. Autopsy at 3 is too high, wrong best albums by CC (too high) and Death. This list should've included Bolt Thrower, Immolation, and Suffocation

Death are decent to say the least, but they're the most overrated Death Metal band of all time. People need to realize there are thousands or even possibly millions of DM bands out there ffs. Why always have Death as #1? It'd even make sense if they created Death Metal, but the fact of the matter is they didn't really do anything but be everyone's favorite DM band for no reason. 😂

Eh, I love "Leprosy" but I don't put it above "Scream Bloody Gore". And "Mental Funeral" should have been the offering from Autopsy on here. But the fact Suffocation did not make this list at all instantly discredits the legitimacy of this list entirely. "Effigy of the Forgotten" was godly and next level shit.

Solid list. Hit all the right notes for me. Honorable mention to Coroner, the godfather of technical death metal or even Sadus. Swallowed in Black is rip your face off type technicality. I know some may argue it’s not really death metal and more death thrash but their influence is inarguable.

YUP. Good list. Kind of hard to rate the genre is, death metal. But this list finds a good compromise between technical proficiency & the old, ground-breaking stuff.
