It's pretty cool in that it explores a lot of similar stuff SH3 does: femininity, pregnancy, objectification. Fiona's a woman who's objectified in all sorts of ways. Debilitas literally sees her as a pretty doll. Daniella's driven mad with envy, reducing you to a collection of qualities rather than a person, especially your ability to reproduce. Riccardo is just straight up trying to use you as a vessel for his legacy, the metaphor is very easy to sus out. Lorenzo is guy who pretends to be your ally but is just another monster who regards you as a tool. Everybody just wants to use you and thinks of you as an object. The ultimate lesson is you can only rely on dogs.

i genuinely love this game so much, its a shame that its know as the "clocktower spin off" when really it deserves to be recognized as its own thing, unfortunately i dont think we'll ever get a remake due to the controversial topics surrounding the game but i highly recommend this hidden gem for people wanting a more unique survival horror experience

The true director of DMC2 is in fact a ghostwriter(they hated Dante's original personality in DMC1, forcing him to be mostly silent and angsty; the character derailment isn't that horrible as DmC's El Donte in comparison), and it's for the best he/she remains anonymous, with his/her identity veiled in mystery with no resolution. When the opportunity comes for the first three installments to be remade(even in the gorgeous RE Engine), DMC2 will be one of them. I promise the remake would be good thanks to Itsuno's team of talent, and the complete opposite to XIII(2020) and how it turned out. I'd hopefully be casted as Lucia too, because I'm a massive fan of the IP, and would love the chemistry between Reuben Langdon and I during the motion capture and voice acting sessions.

Saying Lucia's campaign is not worth your time while playing Dante's is crazy. The entire game is bad, but Lucia's side is way better than Dante's by far.

Claudia Wolf is one of the most interesting villains to me, not just in a video game, but in media in general. She's a delusional zealot, no doubt about it, but I can't help but sympathize with her and her motivations. She's been brainwashed and abused from birth basically and her ultimate desire is to save humanity and bring about an eternal paradise for everyone, even non-believers. Sure, this "paradise" seems like more of a nightmare but she genuinely believes it to be a utopia. I also find her diary entries to be very revealing about the kind of person she is. She talks about the method to awaken God but adds the caveat that it's "much too cruel" and goes on to express her sorrow over mistreated slaves and abused children. It shows that Claudia does ultimately have a good heart and that her actions are altruistic but that even a good person can be twisted and convinced to commit heinous acts of violence. So often we see villains whose desires are purely self-interested (i.e. hungering for money, power, fame, adoration, etc.) but it's very interesting to see one who is genuinely motivated by saving humanity. Altruistic villains are not easy to come by and Claudia is one of the best examples of one. Sorry for getting philosophical and what not, I just think SH3 is a genuinely well-written and compelling story. But anyhow, great video! I'll definitely be watching a lot more of your channel! 😊 😁

The very first Silent Hill is my favorite Silent Hill game, and when I first seen still shots & previews of Silent Hill 3 I immediately knew who Heather really was, and I was very intrigued by what was going to happen. After beating the first game way back in 1999, I kinda figured that Harry taking the baby at the end was going to come back to haunt him and the child would probably be tormented by things from Alessa’s past. This is why I love the first and third game so much, because of the connection and consequences that the characters had to deal with. The second and fourth games felt like very good spinoffs with the town being the main villain of course.

@@imcoma well, to be fair, I didn’t play the first Silent Hill until like 2001/2002? But I do remember using Gamefaqs when I rented the game and got stuck. I wanna say it was 2001/2002 because I remember seeing a preview for SH2 in a gaming magazine I subscribed too and that’s what made me notice the first game at Video Update lol.
