I remember stopping there for a port call while on USCG 620 . The base has literally everything you would ever think of. Internet cafe bars . A huge sports facility. McDonald's . The beach was fun cus the one officer threw a setting down party . Only negative thing was having to walk back drunk from the bars to the ship and the banana rats and big lizards . The rats with freak yah out cus they growl at you

@@samuelpancake4084 Oh wow! They look like Capybaras! 😆 Not as ugly or as scary as I thought with a name like banana rat but umm, I'm still definitely not keen on making their acquaintance. Haha. But given their size now I understand your remark about them growling at ppl. I'm biased towards them simply because I had to do a book report on them when I was in 3rd grade and no one in the class had ever heard of them before, including me, so it was the only book report everyone actually paid attention to and I got a great grade on it. #nostaliga But these Banana Rats are called Hutia by the Cubans, I'm sure they're cousins of capybara.
