I've only seen the James Beard Awards Show televised once. I thoroughly enjoyed it. You would think that the Food Network, Bravo, the Cooking Channel or other broadcast networks would sponsor it since there is such a strong following of cooking shows and cooking competition shows. It can certainly not be that difficult to get sponsors.

My introduction to Brooks Barbecue was at Gas Up in Gallupville, NY. Whenever I meet someone from that part of Upstate NY, that person will inevitably have a fond memory of Brooks Barbecue Chicken. I was going home from Baltimore to Boston. I intentionally avoided taking I-95, but headed towards York, PA because I could pick up I-88 and get Brooks Barbecue Chicken. It was definitely worth the detour. It had a line out the door.

The original foubdibg Brothers are currently rollingover in their garves. Never woudk they would have thought that current CEOs have gone mad. Boycott them...this woke restaurant discriminates against most Americans. Our VP candidate was denied service. So Anti American, bigoted.

i have had cioppino at many different restuarants at least 200 times I Love cioppino. i cook it similar to Tadich Grill and Sotto Mare recipe. Never seen it done like this with these style- type of ingredients. Everything she does goes against everything i have seen in every restaurant that i have ever been. It could be a good recipe but it can't possible taste like REAL San Francisco cioppino.

The spiced apples and big fatty curd cottage cheese, and the very yellow homemade ice cream. I still have my postcards from the original brookeville, with all the recipes

I need to find her book I got in the eighties. Pork vindaloo and great kofta balls. 😊need to get onto Amazon. If I see the book cover, I’ll know it! Such good memories ❤

Went there last month expecting some great Corn like the always had from the last Farmer but there not growing it when it was known for it😢 and I went for some Blueberrys & Strawberries & Blackberries none of that also the Place was kinda of empty, end up going to the Amish market, I hope this Jawn Farmer has more Produce in the future because thier is plenty of land to grow especially CORN,I think a real Farmer from the area would have more experience would have more of a selection of Produce ,only time will tell of it happens 😊

Oh, quit your nagging. Over 800 people brought produce from there just last week and didn't complain. Ol pesticide Pete's corn must have gotten to you. Guess what?! He's gone and stop comparing. She's doing bigger and better things. Were you even there to support the "Only Love Grows" event? Do you even know who the farmers are and the plans for the land? I think not! If you would have come you would have learned a lot more than your assumptions.

CMD, born and raised in (Parkside). We really do, appreciate her home cooked meals that we get from her restaurant. I had my baby shower of triplets (boys) there 😢and I still go to this restaurant to this day to order my food, and my Tripletts are 29 years old. Much love and blessings.💐🎊🎉👌♥️

I'm sorry but the food at your restaurant and hotel is absolutely so mediocre it's almost not even mediocre. You don't even salt the food, nothing's homemade, absolute frozen dinner garbage. I mean if you like family so much why don't you cook them a decent meal instead of hanging them overpriced garbage that you don't even have the decency to salt and pepper.
