Fine, but if the inspired author really wanted to present only a pure symbol and not real history (like creation of Eve from Adam's rib), why then all the data from antiquity we have clearly suggests that everyone around belived that to be a literal history account?

So, let me get this straight: the type of naturalist to which the problem of suffering applies is this "optimist" type, which doesn't really have a reason to be an "optimist" is kind of an assumed starting point, so an irrational hypothesis, and only to that type of naturalist the problem of suffering would apply. Also, that type of naturalist would be at a "disadvantage" in dealing with this problem because of a smaller ontology, but it's not like you can prove that a bigger ontology actually solves said issue. And therefore god? Because of a non-existent advantage on an irrational demographic? Mate, this is ludicrous nonsense.

God isn't evil because a god doesn't exist. But when I speak about the evil of forced birth christians I am speaking about what the majority believes not what all christians believe. Just the very fact that not all christians are even close to being on the same page shows the obvious lie of christ. Which leads to the following truths of this post in which no christian can refute! If hell is real then abortion is the most humane thing that could ever happen to any potential human being ever! The risk of eternal torment if true will always outweigh bringing any finite life into this world. So how insane is a religion that makes human extinction the best option to human suffering? So the question for forced birth extremists is which is it? Do you honestly believe hell is real or is the bible lying? Are you ignorant to what eternal conscious torment is? Are you in denial that exponentially more people will suffer for eternity than claim a life in your heaven belief? Or do you just disregard and hate conscious life and don't care about those who will suffer for eternity? There will never be a hate as great as those that believe in hell yet want to force more births so that more will end up in eternal torment. Most forced birth christians agree that an aborted fetus would go to heaven...which would guarantee that they would be saved from eternal conscious suffering in hell! In fact, the majority of the world should have wished to have been aborted if Mark 9:42-48 is true. And this flawed thinking by the so called pro-life movement and Christians is what makes them so dangerous and showcases their evil hypocrisy. They think they are moral but are far from it! They place the worth of a non-conscious being over the well being of every human on the planet. You see this in their support of Trump's authoritarianism, supporting those that do nothing about climate change or gun violence, supporting those that do nothing about America's unsustainable health care costs, supporting those that give tax breaks to billionaires at the expense of the poor and middle class and forcing raped 10 year old little girls to give birth. The pure hatred for all conscious life is the foundation of christians as shown by their real world actions, words and beliefs.

The problem of evil (/suffering) is a philosophical challenge to certain forms of theism where there is a disconnect between expectation and reality. I'm not understanding how the problem translates to non-theism. Even if non-theists are optimistic, that concerns hope not expectation. As for coping with suffering, that is not a philosophical problem.

Ontological randomness. As in libertarian free will that claims choices aren't determined by our desires or preferences. This essentially makes our actions unintentional or not deliberate. Motives don't exist. How can God hold someone responsible for doing something that wasn't done on purpose or by accident? If our choices are completely random, then we can't control what is random by definition. All of our actions would be utterly without purpose or meaning.

Most of contemporary Christianity tries to contextualise Jesus' death/resurrection in a narrative about a "prelapsarian state of bliss", and a fall that shuts off a proper relationship with God. The implication (often not stated) is that only those who accept this narrative are "saved" -- get to heaven! I submit that most thinking modern people find this narrative unconvincing, if not bizarre. Even so, most people still experience themselves as limited, inadequate, insufficiently loving, etc -- ie as sinful to a lesser or greater extent. But there is no archeological evidence of a prelapsarian state of bliss, nor of a fall. Everything points to the emergence/evolution of homo sapiens as a humanoid species uniquely endowed with consciousness and various attributes that help it to thrive from a tiny number of individuals some 300 thousand years ago, to a species that covers the earth today. This explosive evolutionary success was facilitated by positive attributes such as inventiveness and consciousness, but also by negative attributes such of aggression, jealousy, possessiveness, acquisitiveness, etc. It is these negative attributes that are no longer appropriate for further development of humanity. Place Christ's death and resurrection in this context, and you are more likely to make an impression. We need to get away from an overly literal interpretation of Paul's view about the meaning of the cross/resurrection. After all, Paul did not know about evolution. And we need to stop attributing to Pauline texts an overly individualised notion of the meaning of the cross/resurrection. (ie of notion that "Because of my sins and your sins, Jesus died on a cross".) Bottom line: It is much easier and much more credible to evangelise into the modern world from a Teilhardian perspective of the meaning of the cross/resurrection, rather than from a perspective that reached its zenith at the reformation and continues to undermine the credibility and joy of the resurrection to this day.

Yeah… too many holes in macro evolution. Obviously micro evolution is a thing, but not macro. The fossil record, especially the Cambrian record shows sudden appearance of species, while there is no proof that wales lived on earth, or that any species became another species.
