Today land is worth 25 lakh to 50 lakh per beegha ( 1000 sq yard) you need at least 200 begha to farm, just to live sadharan modest life. Thats worth lets say average 35 lakh beegha, which is 70 Carore Rupees plus stamp duty on purchase. With all expenses you will be lucky to net earnings of 12 to 15 lakh income per year, if full family works in field, not hiring labour. 1% of 70 Cr is 70 lakh. 14 lakh is 0.20 % return . Who except for politicians, Mafia can afford to buy for such low return? 70 Cr white money required, in FD returns 8% return is almost 5.6 Carore each year. In UP, No full family together can hold more than 60 beghaa land or 80 beegha Bagh, orchard. UP land ceiling act came into effect 2, 3 times. Each time reducing the ammount of land one family unit can hold. Charan Singh finished off Zamindari first, overnight we became poor, Still had 6000 beghaas in our holding, than ceiling acts put the last bullet into our chest. 60 beeghas we could hold, rest was snatched, given to Jaats, yadav, dheewar, patua, etc. Now we cry about poor size of land holding. Unproductivity, loss of land in boundaries, water loss, increased cost of production, diminishing returns in produce. Life is a circle, a Circus, Every dog has its day. What's up comes down, then climbs up, but takes a long journey. Land is limited, Just wait untill climate change and Artificial Intelligence finishes human civilisation. Few left will grow food from land and only be able to eat. If plastic and pollution leaves the land fertile at all. AFTER year 2040 human civilisation will decrease. Less food, less children born, declining human fertility rate. Super rich will benefit from AI, no rich, no middle class, only poor left to be slaves of AI. BIG power shifts and societies in clash.
