I never see you sharpen a knife that is used in the world just chef knives what about real knives like for camping or hunting

The irony of saying not to buy knives of uncertain origin after promoting Dalstrong, who purposely obscures the fact that they are made in China.

Oh yeah? if you are getting 12, prove it by shaving your beard with it. Arm hair doesn't count. A new out of the box shaving razor is 50. I don't believe you.

Matsato is heavily promoting a 70 percent off sale $30 instead of $100 plus $10 shipping. They are really using hard sell tactics. Some of their knives are made in China. It sounds like one of the knife types you seem to be suspicious of. Amazin sells it for $43 including shipping. What do you think. I visited your store and you dont carry that brand. What do you tbink? I wasn't in the market for a knife..

Really informative video, thank you. I wonder if you could say how the black PE Hasegawa you have compares with with soft rubber Hasegawa? Is it too hard on edges?

Hello mate 👍 i grow like enthusiast sharpener with your videos, so wanna say thanks for all this information from you😉 and one small question, did you have any plans to test new shapton glass Rockstar stones? They actually look similar like old glass stones but without glass, but actually is not, they changed grid markings in micron's so they must be little bite softer-finer to campare with same grids in old and new stones, actually SG changed to , so it's any way to check same grid old glass with similar new glass stones to know or it's realy bit new stones or it's just different markings? Thanks for your great jobs !!!

Never had a chip that needed fixing. If I did I would go for pro correction. You are missing the ENTIRE point. The Trizor XV does 95% as well SHARPENING a knife in 2 minutes vs 20 minutes. You are desperately trying to draw people into your hobby/business. Your neck and wrist anguish is pure bs. And stones require skill that most can’t consistently produced. Yes, I am questioning your integrity.

My beginners choice was: 400/1000 cheap Diamond + 1000 Miyagoshi vitrified + 5000 Rika + Chromeoxide leather strop DIY (for straight razor: small coticule + leather strop DIY) .....all for 170€. I'm permasoaking the stones and will not buy anything new until something goes - the diamond plate probably. Thanks for all the information!

I just wrote this on my side note to avoid it pretty much at all cost, not that I don't like it, (I don't even know anything about this water stone) I have been looking and digging on my time for which waterstones to get, as I'm a newbie myself to sharpening whetstones. Ryky has taught me very well. I appreciate how he does his own reviews on lots of whetstones...although I think he can do plenty of more reviewings if he has time. Stay sharp 👍🏾👍🏾

I remembered a long time ago when KZbin used to have personal messaging about how you want to help me set up a knife Channel myself. I'm happy you're doing quite well. I bought a dalstrong knife as well as a King KDS stone because of your recommendatios. I don't regret it. You're a good dude

To be fair the Chosera 1000 is a much finer grit than the Shapton glass 1000. Its a pretty clear win for naniwa in this case, it cuts faster, has a better feel and leaves a noticeably finer finish

What i want to know about this Bunka is does it have a 50/50 grind with a secondary edge bevel? I just saw online a Japanese-forged Bunka that has a 50/50 grind but without a secondary edge bevel, which seems like it would facilitate ease of sharpening. Maybe I don't want that. I don't know. So, what about the grind on the knife you just plugged as your favorite for under $100?

As soon as the word "samurai" comes up in context with knives, you know it's going to get sketchy. The advertiser is just exploiting all the super-lame cliches about those mysteriously sharp samurai swords. Swords are weapons and samurais could not cook. So all that "mystery steel forged at moonshine chops a head right off" is nonsense and irrelevant for a food preparation tool.

I have to say this video is really annoying. You saying the machine is wrong over and over and over is not good content and pisses me off. I am passing on this video now and giving it a thumbs down. Take this as constructive criticism at how boring this was.
