What did you use to paint the foam? EPO foam, right?

I used spray paint over closed cell 1/8" landau pad.

@oldschoolautoupholstery do you heat shrink the landau pad over the foam body and wings and then paint it?
@oldschoolautoupholstery21 күн бұрын
@@Patrician9000 Hello Patrician, I just glued it on over the EPS then painted it.

I put up with the scale tail stick for about 6 flights and then installed a proper steerable tail wheel and all was well. Also I noticed the pilot was flying about three times faster than the full size tri-plane would go :)

A lday once developed a custom bicycle seat, had it made in China, did well, until it was copied and she lost her business. Nothing she could do about it. A friend of mine was making bay window vw bus steering wheels, his prototype had a defect in it, he noticed other steering wheels being offered from china, with same defect ! Well, he stopped and his part did not go into production. And a place I worked at wanted me to quickly outsource design and development of a medical device, to a firm that was already making a similar device or at least medical product in China in about a months time starting from ground 0. Starting with NDA, evluation, prototype, etc. After I said that was a bad idea and timeline was unrealistic, guess who was encouraged to find other career opportunities ? Just as well.

Hello Dan, Yep, I know the feeling. A couple of my airplanes were copied and also some lipo battery labels. I bought one of those copies and to my surprise, it flew really nice. Please keep liking and watching!

Hi I have a scratch built Howard dga 12. The balsa is finished and it is ready for glassing. I inherited it and plan to finish it. I can see that you are flying in mesa az. I also live in mesa. I have some questions for you about this build and what motor to use. Do you have an email where I can contact you?

I've flown them both and the f86 is a more stable bird in almost all aspects. So if there are any new edf flyersout there looking for an easier option of the two, I'd stick with the f86. Both are very flyable bt the f86 is a tadmore stable even on approach and in the wind especially . An easy edf to fly period...

It sounds funny because 3 cylinders exhaust on one side and 4 cylinders exhaust on the other side of the fuselage. It’s a 7 cylinder engine

Hobby King version is very bad. No instructions, rudder is repurposed aileron that does not mate with trailing edge of vertical stab. The landing gear is just one piece of wire that you must design your own brace. They should be held accountable, to selling somethng like this.

I spend a couple of days around several of the Chinese variant MiG-15, The Shenyang J-5 at the National Chinese Aviation museum north of Beijing. What really gave me a strange, sinking sensation was standing before a captured F-86.

After seeing the landing, I do remember a strong cross wind.
@twickersruss6 жыл бұрын
@@wingspan100 . Thanks for that . A bit of a cold case! Discounting cross wind I think it was toe -out (rather than toe in) on both wheels. Its a problem I haven't come accross in models before but have seen on full size tail draggers and only noticable on low wing types.
