@@GioXperience most base jumps were with skydiving gear back then. The early 90’s is about the time when they started to make specialized base gear.

Saw them playing like this from the ground in 1981, going over the Grimsel and Furka passes. They shut the road at Ulrichen when they came in to land as it crossed the runway.

More like the sound of the fifties...the first turbine helicopter flew in 1951, and the first production turbine chopper, the Bell UH 1 Huey, first flew in 1956.

most H-34’s in the US and other military were retired in the early 1970’s.. Also , if you look at the early US space flights (Mercury in the early 60’s), the recovery of the capsule was done by H34’s

I loved the old Sikorskys, I remember watching them fly over the Hollywood house where I grew up. The The big radial-powered rotors made a "tokka-tokka" sound that felt powerful to a 5 year old boy living in the Hollywood hills in the 1950s

Waw ! Quelles emotions incroyables, vidéo splendide ! Ça c'était la belle époque, jai l'impression que l'aviation se meurt avec toutes ces restrictions ! Maintenant les fans d'aviation fantasment sur des unrestricted take off alors que c'était la norme il y a 20 ans... C'est tellement dommage !

I’m no pilot, but I didn’t trust this guy as much as other in flight videos on KZbin! I don’t think I’d have enjoyed the flight. 😮😮 maybe it’s the combination of terrain, cloud and turbulence.

Really Pete ? I was at Lossie 84 to 86 and nabbed a flight in a 237 OCU hunter, was an MT refueller 👍 also nabbed flights in 8 Sqn Shack, 202 Sqn Sea King, 226 OCU 2 seater Jag...my dream was to get into the rear of a Bucc but the gits wouldn't allow it...😂

I saw one derelict some time ago and was amazed to see the cannon barrels poking from their openings. Around the side and the rearming pack with the rotary gun breeches was absent! Brilliant video, thanks a million.
