Excellent question! Unfortunately, it probably is a "narrow" mix. This is an amateur mix that I put together using publicly-available remix stems. The stems didn't include individual instruments but rather groups of instruments with their own stereo settings. So I couldn't pan one instrument without panning multiple others. I tried to pan the instruments similarly to the original song but, with instruments being grouped together, my options were quite limited. And so, I had to keep the mix "narrow" as panning stems, with the intention of moving individual instruments left/right, would often result with unintended extreme panning of other instruments.

Wow! It's impressive on how clean it sounds! I don't know how to describe it, but it feels strange yet right. It sounds less omnious and more friendly, as if the night is about to end and now you're about to see the morning sun.

Guys, i think i’ve caught The MANDELA EFFECT. The first few times i’ve Heard this clean remake, i recall The first four Lines going: „You, do what you want to do - There ain’t NO Rules, It’s up to you - Inside, we’ll come alive - There ain’t NO Rules, It’s” - And those were The first four Lines. Now i literally Can’t Find any version of The song with The „We’ll come alive” lyric. Please tell me Someone Heard that one.

Have you ever listened to Michael Jackson's "Off the Wall"? It's the song which "Enjoy Yourself" takes samples from. In it, there's a verse that goes as follows... "Do what you want to do There ain't no rules it's up to you (ain't no rules it's all up to you) It's time to come alive And party on right through the night (all right)" Perhaps you're thinking back to this song, specifically the "it's time to come alive" part, without even realising it? XD

dude... its so cool that you did this. i'm playing a vaporwave set where i do all the effects on the fly to make it more interesting than just pressing play, so having a track without any reverb, echo, saturation, etc is amazing. i'm going to try to incorporate this into the set list.
