I would go with one of the entry-level elegoo printers , probably the Mars series. Especially if you're looking to do resin printing. Elegoos are easy to operate, and the customer service is great.

I have used silicone molds and resins, unless you're gonna do plastic injection I've never been happy with the results. This 3d printing is changing the game though, I've printed several Droids for customers who paint themselves.

If it was a custom order, I could add a back photo, I have done it in the past for like I say custom orders , but its not something I plan on added to all the figures

Not sure what that is, I made him by scanning an imperial officer body and adding the details, the helmet was a separate sculpt.

I didn't always do cardbacks either, but my wife is a photographer and prolific in photoshop, so that has helped me tremendously....I think they really make an awesome display piece.
