Viewing this tutorial for the first time, it’s so funny to me that he mentions how perfectly in tune you have to on the first chord to play the song properly… After learning this song a while ago on my own I realized that immediately and now that chord has become my standard for tuning my guitar every day.

I would call this a g# min with an added 6,if he is playing the high e string as well you could call it g#min13

thats because everyone knows if tommy says to them "this is a difficult song to play" they don't tend to pick up their guitars to learn it :D
