So sad to watch. Horses are proud beautiful creatures who shouldn’t look like they’re beaten into submission. And yes I worked with Peruvian Pasos.

Why are tail weights used in tail extensions?
@ZiggyZ7910 ай бұрын
May not be a fake tail and all the tails do that when the horse is in movement
@Emmy_and_Willie7 ай бұрын
It is a fake tail for sure! Tail weights are only used when the horse likes to raise their tail while riding. For example, my horse raises his tail and it kind of looks like an Arabians tail, so we use tail weights to make sure they keep their tail down it’s just personal preference ❤️

He looks like he's been shot and about to drop. It's such a weird movement. Everything screams wrong to me from the English tb horses I'm used to. The neck line is ridiculously low, they don't track. All on the four hand. What is the point of a canter that another horse could overtake at a walk?

smh. He's beautiful but that movement seems completely unnatural. I don't like how this has evolved over the years.
@karben7296 Жыл бұрын
Leave it to humans. That beautiful horse isn't allowed to be himself; they've demanded he carry his head so low it's ridiculous. All it takes is whoever is winning for everyone else to copy. Saw it in the dog show world. If a dog with short legs and overweight was put up, that's what the rest of the brain-dead copycat breeders would try and produce.
@shaunahilton87276 ай бұрын
Haha demanded! He is bred to carry his head that way and his movement is sublime, correct, powerful, cadent, flat knee, smooth. Breeding not demands
@rickebberson3830 Жыл бұрын
Every one of these horses are moving like they have been quicked on the front end or they have their shoulders pinched, this is not a natural fluid movement. The AQHA said 30 years ago that they would not condone this bs and here they are happy as a pig in a mud wallow following the rest of the crowd. If you were to take these horses out side to ride a few miles you would never get where you are going and these moron judges are telling you these are pleasure horses and trail horses, BULLSHIT
@johnash9588 Жыл бұрын
These are unnatural gates for these horses. Hate to see them compromised for human distorted so called perfection
@JuliaJulia007 Жыл бұрын
They look crippled.
@juliettewhittaker8904 Жыл бұрын
Couldn't agree more. Coming from the UK and once being an event rider I cannot get my head around the way these horses move. They look lame to me. They cant track up, they have no elevation and their head carriage is weirdly low. Their physical structure is quite anglo-arab making them very pretty. But I don't see the reason for the way they move, comfort?
@DioMioKio11 ай бұрын
As a western pleasure rider, you all clearly don’t know anything about the sport. Horses are literally bred for this sport and to move in a certain way. Same way for any horse sport. You want a reiner? Breed them small. You want a hunt seat horse? Breed them to be big and ‘floaty.’ It blows my mind how uneducated people are to western pleasure and how easily they judge it. Learn your facts before judging someone else’s sport.
@brandibritton439110 ай бұрын
Instead of discounting what is being said, WP folks would be wise to take heed and listen to the criticism being voiced. WP horses are NOT bred to move like this. It is completely manufactured. Look at the horses in the Western Riding, they don't move like these lame crabbing sideways lopers and they're bred the exact same way.
