Anyone else remember the Lorre MTV bumper from the 90s?

Spoilers!!!!!! Everybody thinks Jonathan was doing just fine and what got him killed was that he tried to touch the creature. But I don’t think so. I think it was perfectly fine with him talking to it. Where he messed up was when he introduced himself and explained his lineage. The touching probably didn’t help. But telling this creature who you were considering the story you were referring to as having been true? Not a good idea.
