I think the Blues is meant to be a Bluesbreaker, the Royal is meant to be a Prince of Tone, Imperial is possibly a Guv'nor, and Shred is likely a Shredmaster. I'm curious what the Stack would be...
@austinfailz8 күн бұрын
Looking at the product page, it appears Imperial is Royal with hard clipping (Royal uses soft clipping). I'm guessing Stack might be based on a Guv'nor?
@rjmmusic8 күн бұрын
@@austinfailz Push/Royal/Imperial are similar to the three modes of a King of Tone (no clipping, soft clipping, hard clipping). The Stack and Shred modes are more similar to a Guv'nor, but not exactly like it either. Stack uses LEDs for distortion, Shred uses MOSFETs.

I just got 2 of these; for maximum flexibility, including using one for mono dry and the other for stereo wet. 2 quick questions: For mono pedals (assuming the same good quality of patch cables and pedals all across the board), does split mono cause any signal loss? What about for pedals with increased headroom? Awesome device! Thanks for your time!!
@rjmmusic24 күн бұрын
Split mono causes no signal loss at all, it's just changing how the jacks are routed in the audio path. The audio path runs on a +/-12V supply, so it has quite a lot of headroom, more than enough for any pedal I've encountered.

just wondering? what if you went from the output of the switchboard into another switchboard daisychain style. any chance of getting anywhere by doing that?
@rjmmusicАй бұрын
You can definitely do that, but the two will act independently - buttons pressed on one Switchboard would only effect the loops on that Switchboard. The Switchboard doesn't have a MIDI input, so it can't respond to commands sent by another Switchboard.

Can you comment on a usable example of how this can used as splitter for possible wet/dry scenarios with two amps and how to do that?

@rjmmusicАй бұрын
I'm sorry, we don't have videos at this time, but it's pretty simple. Just choose one loop to be the split point. Connect its send to your dry amp, and don't connect anything to its return. Any effects before that split point will be dry effects, and any effects after that will be wet effects (the main output becomes the wet output in this case). Just make sure that the loop used to go to the dry amp stays on at all times.

hi, this video is amazing! Question, Do you get out of your fuzz, comp and OD, and then you use the insert loops 'in 5-6' and 'out 5-6', to go for your input amp (insert in5-6 -> in amp, out amp -> insert out 5-6)?
@rjmmusic2 ай бұрын
If I recall correctly, the board was wired so that Out 5-6 went to the amp input and the amp's loop send was connected to In 7-10. Out A went to the amp's loop return.

I do it in Logic Pro by automating the three channels to turn on and off, but it took a long time to draw that automation in to get the exact correct sequence (especially when it came to lining it up to the grid perfectly 😩). Spillover isn't a feature the Switchboard has, but you can add it with an external line mixer. Our Micro Line Mixer manual has a diagram showing how to connect it to a switcher like the Switchboard. @rjmmusic6 ай бұрын
If by master controller, you mean that you could connect all 4 amps to it and select which amps are receiving signal, then yes. Just connect the sends of 4 loops to the amps, and don't plug anything into the returns. You can turn any combination of amps on. The only potential issue is that you may encounter hum due to ground loops. To fix it, you would need to flip the ground lift switch on the amp if there is one, or get isolation transformers.
