Trying to learn DOM manipulation...so decided to make a To Do list. to get an Idea I saw a tutorial, there I realised many things were new! and that was very intimidating for me. now what do I do now? Should I go back to learn again or keep on learning new things from making projects ?please do reply

Visual cues to the user are essentual for an action which does not complete instantly. This is particulkarly true for REST API calls and database queries.

The sad truth is that social media has fed a lie; its why I haven't even applied to anything, I know I am not good enough yet, I just have to keep learning & keep building, every project is a little more complex than the previous and that is my progress. Thanks for the advice in this video.
@kpsh7 күн бұрын
You need to start applying like right now. Why? Because you will learn more during the job. Dont waste time playing around just make 2 or 3 "good" projects. You are hired for problem solving skills not how much frameworks you know.
@kaymelissa7 күн бұрын
@@kpsh Fair assessment. I am not learning frameworks actually, I am trying to nail fundamentals. I am currently still in a college program studying comp sci, but, learning the JavaScript on my own, on the side! I do agree with your problem solving, I just do get scared I don't know enough, yet! But, I will always try out something someone says, so, I guess I will try out your method as well. :) Thank you Kpsh!

The key is to be comfortable with matching the business semantics with your chosen development stack. So explore some use cases that can be valuable to business and realize these on your chosen stack

@EverydayBeing-de1qu11 күн бұрын
It seems everyone is following the same MERN stack route, yet 99.9% of the time data is relational therefore 99.9% of jobs will be using SQL. So if you want a job in the industry then learning SQL would be beneficial. Also paired with a strongly typed language such as Java / C# .NET would also be beneficial to finding a job. If people don't wanna learn Java / C# .NET and want to stick to a JS backend then 100% use SQL.

Fair assessment. We should be problem solvers; language is just what gets it done, but it needs to solve a problem and I guess we (as aspiring devs) need to be learning not language but problem solving. Syntax can be learned, but core principles is key.
