I've never had anyone ask for clearing like that, but it does do what it does.

Really, the excavators are the money makers. Get the biggest ton you can haul. I'd go with an excavator. Or a Mecalac. Look them up. There 3 machines in one!

Great guide! Have you worked on the L47? - is it worth considering for smaller to medium jobs?

What model is that machine? How did the wedge fail? What damage? Looks like hoses were just pulled. Cool tool.

@Trek Excavation at 3:06 why did you chainsaw the trunk and then push it over verse digging the roots out on each side of the tree and then pushing over? Can the TB290 push trees over this size without cutting the trunk?

Look at the size of that tree compared to the guy. The stump is staying, so no need to beat up an undersized machine. When you own your own gear, you don't beat it up

@@mikepeters75 Would a TB2150 (34,480 lbs) be able to dig out the roots and push that tree over or would it still be too small?

I’ve been doing a lot of mountain roads, steep as they come and I had no problems just using gravel, my roads hold up great it just needs to be done right and can be easily maintained. I don’t see how geogrid will provide a long term solution, eventually the next operator will rip that trash out as soon he puts his shovel down trying to fix it in a couple years. But then you need to buy and spread more gravel because you can’t regrade and shape it so it will be a lot more expensive in the future. And then you start adding more gravel over it but then what’s the point of the grid because if you think about it that way it will make no difference just cost you 3 times as much in the long run. I’ve done steep hills and there is a way of doing it, when I go back to my old jobs there is no erosion and the gravel is hard as concrete you’ll need a pickaxe to dig. I actually think the grid would weaken my road because plastic doesn’t interlock the same way rock does and probably moves and loosens the surface everytime you run a truck over it but that’s just my opinion. The road will erode down to the grid like any other road would and once the grid is exposed you gotta wonder if it was worth it because you just made it more difficult to fix. But it looks like you are doing a great job 👍

Yeah, I hear you and that's what the customer was willing to try. I never brough it up and was asked to put it in. They know that water erosion on a hill like that will still be a thing, but, it will hold the gravel back.

I don't sell nor did I buy this. The home owner bought it and wanted it down. A human making another no need to make comment. You could have just stopped at the product is garbage!

Yes sir!! That's a big pull for a 2500, I know, did it for a few years. But, I wish I would have gone straight to a 450.

That head might be too Much for that machine. Doesn’t seem like it can really spin it up.
