Amanda Blake was really something special. I once saw her on an Alfred Hitchcock show that she did right before she started in Gunsmoke. She was great! SO sad that she left us so young . . I lost three good friends this summer and to tell yo the truth, seeing this old stuff is nice, but it’s making me feel sad. . . So I will stay away. .. . .

Loved the show for years..but absolutely hated how it ended. The writers did the worst job ever on the ending of that iconic TV series. They didn't care at all about the loyal viewers . What a waste.

Wow,this is my favorite song. My husband used to sing this to me. He died so young in a car acc. James and Amanda love was really profound, they broke apart but never quit loving each other's.

My husband died to soon and I still crying his lost and everytime I watch an episode of gunsmoke I really can feel the love that Amanda and Jim felt for each other.so beautiful and strong. They together again forever. One day I will be with my husband to. The lord do things on his own time we just need to be patience. God bless you for your att.

I was married to a wonderful man for 41 yrs, when he died of cancer. I miss him so, but know I will see him again someday! We watched Gunsmoke together for many years and loved it!! Take care.

James arness never was in love with anyone else more than Amanda Blake. Whatever happened kept them apart and both of them suffered so much emotionally. So sad
