I'm curious about the quality of sounds and user experience of the drumsynth vs the elektron drum boxes, if you have thoughts
@KeithJCarberry17 күн бұрын
specifically i am considering adding an elektron box to my force setup. In order, considering Syntakt, Digitone II, Four, or Rytm (last just because of price). in my dark heart i also want to try the octatrack even though i dont really do stuff with samples. i just want to understant it. Anyway, i'm interested in using the force as i normally would but offloading drum responsibilities to a syntakt or rytm, but if the sounds/experience of having them together isnt that big of an improvement, i might consider the digiton (but opx4 is really good already!) or the Four (tubesynth is good but i hate using it) maybe im just losing my mind and trying to buy something for no reason?

hey thank you so much for the very clarifying video!!!! really good. what I do not understand is what sounds (kits), plugins and fx are included when buying the Akai Force… is everything you show and use in the video (including fx and mixing tools) already available? or are some extra plugins? thanks!

Wondering if you’ve tried changing syntakt patterns via midi from the force? Figure you would be able to keep your parts mute page open and do less on the syntakt. Also, have you tried assigning force macro knobs to the syntakt macros?

Contemplating between the force or octatrack for a performance mixer and been leaning toward for force since it seems a better workflow for live looping with instruments

3 years after creating the video - my 1st hands-on force encounter. Very well done, I was going with the video step by step, it gave me the understanding I wanted, logically explained with a human touch. Got a completely different 1st song, but that's ok. Many many thanks.

Omg I recently started watching your videos since I got the force recently. Thank you for wearing the shirt. I sometimes wonder if the creators I enjoy would be accepting of me. Now knowing that, this channel feels even safer now. Much love ❤

@@lil_laptop Hi! I haven’t been making videos for a while now (my Force died) but you are very welcome on the channel, and any of the other places I post. I try to be an ally as best I can, and I’m very happy the shirt made you feel comfortable, that’s what I was aiming for ❤️🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈

Thanks for sharing mate! I'm new to Force using it as the hub of my hybrid setup. However I'm struggeling to get everything working properlyin combination with the Roland MX-1 as the external interface (where all the synths are connected). Do you happen to have an idea how to approach that setup?

Thank you for the well-explained and informative video! Does it work the other way around? I mean, is it possible to start clips/scenes on the force with an external controller?

Hi thanks for the tuto ! To me, It doesn't work with a "sample" added on a track... I got a loop drum that I've import on my track 1, and I can't do this effect on it ... Anyone?

Hi , are there any videos that focus on the arranger ? I can get to this point now but cant get the arranger to work , it just doesn't record anything I'm playing .

Force sits on shelf. Used once. Said to myself, mah. You forgot Force is six things, not five. Paper weight. Lol. Mpc one plus is so much better as to ease of use. Not the fault of the Force. I am just tired of menu diving kit. Want all old school knobs and sliders real time creation.

Brillant video, cheers mate! I was just wondering whether the iPad is regarded as class compliant and could transfer Audio and MIDI via USB. Is there any chance? And a clip about how exporting the MIDI data and Audio from Gadget to the Force would have also been helpful. Anyway: Great and comprehensive clip: Thanks again! ❤

I’m looking to add samples to my setup which is, digitone (brain) m/c for drums and bs2 for bass. I use song mode for live performances and wondering how these work with each other? I am stuck with too many options like the blackbox, rytm or octatrack. I may be okay with one of these new synths becoming the brain.

Exactly the video I was looking for, thanks! I'm still having trouble figuring how to send MIDI CCs from Force to other hardware as the MIDI config box doesn't have an option for CC which I thought was odd... the Macro knob mapping tip is helpful so I'll give that a whirl and see if I can get it working with my DSI Evolver for external control. Thanks for posting this.

That neo sound you are talking about was made with the Roland VP9000 that was one of the first maschines that could change speed without pitch in a useable way, but it also had the feature tu basically go to speed 0% so the sound would just stop on one single synth sine or saw wave. But it's basically build on granular synthesis or addictive where a sample is cut up in micro pieces. So what you hear is the choppy gaps between the sample pieces when you make it longer, and the force is not doing so much to them so more choppy edges and less CPU use. But it sounds great to get some old school time stretch sounds, from the early 90s, but not for natural sound.

I just want to point out one other useful tip to help with this effect. Some of the effects in touchfx will kill the sound after the effect is generated, like the tape stop, which isn't useful for playing around with on the macro controls cause the sound disappears. And some effects you may want to go back to an unaffected state after the triggering the effect. Long story short.. learn the "touch enable" button to the same knob you use for the touch strip, and set it to "toggle mode" so that when touching the knob it will enable touch strip, and releasing it (when you're done messing with the macro) will shut it off and revert to unaffected again!
@tjmendillo3 ай бұрын
Can you help me? I don't understand this at all. Why is the effect completely turned off when "touch enable" is turned off? Isn't that the same as turning the effect off? If the touch strip only controls one parameter of the effect, then why does turning the touch strip off turn off the entire thing?

Can you record the automation to scenes? (not arranger)
@ikarugamooКүн бұрын
Yes you can, that is how automation works normally - in that you just add automation to each of your clips.

I just came across this video now and was wondering if meanwhile something changed re iConnectivity software? I was looking after a VJing setup, where one MAC is used as the audio system (Ableton Live) and a 2nd MAC for visuals only (Resolume Arena). The audio computer sends a stereo track to the VJ-computer for audio reactive stuff and another single track with a timecode (LTC) to synchronise both systems. For me that works perfectly using the iConfig software. As I didn't found any hint on the iConnectivity web page, that the iConfig software is deprecated, I wanted to ask if someone has any news on that? Cheers Mark
