Just another reason I dont care for Ill. they ripped off a part of the UMass Amherst cadence they've been playing since the 90's. Monkey Beat from 84 Cadets and the rock beat from SCV.

Absolutely disgustingly nasty. As a former first chair Illini trombonist in 2009, I never understood how any of them can memorize this. Major respect.
@TFordSuperstar5 жыл бұрын
Percussionists just have a natural knack for memorizing music. We have to memorize marimba solos because we can't pause for page turns unlike other musicians. That helps a heck of a lot. I actually was on the ISU snareline that came to U of I in 2009! We warmed up with your drumline, and it was a ton of fun!

Cymbal splits are really good, along with cymbal visuals. NEED TO INCORPORATE SOME OF THESE INTO PEP RALLY. Snares have some cool cascading visuals.

Traditional sticking on that snare line. I dig it. I know a lot of drummers dis agree and prefer Match Grip? OK. but just remember the great drummers. Buddy Rich Gene Krupa Louie Bellson Shelly Manne Joe Morello. all of those legends used the Traditional Old School Grip. This drum line is good. I love the way they have that power and drive. thanks for posting this gem.

The Illini Drumline payed Match Grip from 1978 through at least 1980.
@johncoyle85515 жыл бұрын
@@dvadams75 Up to the 1983-84 season as well. There's a video from the Rose Parade that year on KZbin and they're using match in that video.
