Great video! You should do a video on Oliver Levasseur. He was a French pirate who raided ships all around the Caribbean. After he captured a Portuguese ship with "untold wealth" aboard, the French government became fed up with his crimes and eventually captured and hanged him. Before his hanging, he threw a necklace and coded message into the crowd and shouted "Find my treasure, who can?!"

My favorite female pirate was Zheng Yi Sao. The Confederation of Pirates in China in 1807 were a group of bandits that fought in Vietnam and became very disciplined and strong. She took over as leader after the previous leader, her husband, drowned. She had managed the confederation's finances prior to taking a leadership position and she would always help her husband create strategies of actual combat and plundering. She made money by offering a protection racket for all ships in the area as well as threatened small villages to pay her or be burned and also wrote a strict code of conduct that discouraged the abuse of any prisoners they had as well as keeping the pirates honest with each other so everyone would get paid fairly. China's naval defense was terrible so they couldn't really stop her and she planned to take a large trading route along a river. But China was getting its act together when it comes to their navy. But even though they were more prepared for Sao's fleet they were annihilated. She raided these trade routs for awhile but then China requested foreign aid and proper British gunships appeared. They were accompanied by China's new fleet of proper warships. Sao had a lot of ships under her command but they were really just retrofitted merchant/fishing ships. She used them for warfare but they weren't intended for warfare. The British ships and the new navy drove Sao back out of the trade route because the rivers were too small to actually evade that many canons. When she took her flagships back to her base of operation for repairs in 1809 she was ambushed and blockaded. She faced 60 ships of China's brand new warships, 35 repurposed fishing ships, and 4 enormous western gunships. The pirates only had 7 of their repurposed merchant/fishing ships and a few scouting ships and other small craft. After 9 days of being sieged she managed to slip by the blockade and lost only 40 men and zero ships by using decoys to take canon fire. At this point the pirates were beginning to fall apart. So she decided to dissolve the confederation and reform. So she sent demands to China's government to ensure that neither she nor any of her men would be punished and to retain several ships to participate in the salt trade. When they refused she went on one last massive raid. They agreed after that. When she surrendered her total fleet consisted of over 17,000 pirates, 226 ships, and over 1,300 canons. She lived out the rest of her life peacefully running a gambling den.
