This was my second cellphone, my first was the NOKIA 918, but this 8390 is the best I have ever had, it was fantastic in its time , very small, was elegant and just loved it. In those days lived in a 4th floor, and one day I was in a hurry and had the phone in my hand, I tripped on and dropped it 4 floors all the way straight down ¡Bam! it smashed in the floor. When I got down both covers had snapped out and the little NOKIA was still alive and kicking, just put the covers back and it was good to go. Unbelievable.

First time at Blow Sands was 1965. I was 11 yo. There was no flat flat road going up to the top. You parked (if you could even make this far) at the rocky outcropping of rocks at the bottom. Water pumpers would try and climb up the face at that time. By the time I was in collage there was starting to be a path to the top but is wasn't flat like now. The first time I saw a motorcycle make it to the top was 1972. It was a Husky 400 and he barely make it to the top. My oh my how it has changed.

That's a Polaris 244 (250)cc air cooled sled engine. Now here's the deal with Polaris and Not Yamaha but Ezgo golf carts. The older 1980s - early 90s Ezgo 2 stroke single cylinders engines are built by the same exact engine manufacturer in Japan as the Polaris company engine are built called Fuji Industrial. The Ezgo engine is sometimes referred to as a Robin 244cc and Polaris singles and double cylinder engines up to the early 2000s are all very similar in design. The fact is that if you own a Ezgo with the 2 stroke engine in them, and want more options to make much more power like a 250 should have? The bores and strokes are identical between the two and a Polaris 250 ATV cylinder a sled single will bolt right on the Ezgo blocks. Also the twin cylinder Polaris 488-500cc engines, a single cylinder off one of these engines will bolt on a Ezgo bottom end as well. This way your reducing the engines weight by going to a lined aluminum cylinder, over the solid iron Ezgo jug. The engine will run a 💯× cooler with the iron bored aluminum jug as well. The only downside is that in order to run these cylinders it's highly recommended that you run the original intake system and exhaust expansion pipe which will benefit your engines upgraded cylinder. This will do away on most sled cylinders the use of reed valves because it's called piston port design, simpler, easier and 4 less things to fail as metal or fiber reeds do fatigue and fail over time. But the ATVs jugs do require the use of reeds for those applications. The best way to run the exhaust system is to get a head pipe from a sled with the 2 45° bends in it, and a expansion pipe with built in silencer off the ATVs which is pretty much straight and exits out the rear of the carts swing arm assembly under the bumper. Some minor fabrication is required for the Ezgo engines fan shrouding to enclose the cylinder and head to keep it running ice cold and some minor changes to the throttle cable and of course the original exhaust system should be replaced with a pipe which will increase your power levels by using the pulses which basically gives your 2 stroke and good shot in the arm of power, or usually called its (power band) which is only for expansion piped equipped engines. Otherwise it will run fine with the original exhaust system, but it's not going to benefit it in any form plus it's very restrictive for sound quality over performance. Unfortunately the Yamaha 2 strokes are much different than the EZGO is, but you can, like in this video replace the old or worn out Yamaha with a cheap Polaris engine? The torque converter primary clutch will fit either or. But much more extensive modifications will be required to do such a transplant into a Yamaha G. At least the Ezgo is already laid out for something like this. Mine started as a EZGO Marathon model for the engine of which I put into a more modern Ezgo TXT which has forward neutral and reverse shifting in the transaxle. This way you don't have to run your 2 stroke backwards for reverse.......

Dalton. I have a 04 kfx 400 and im trying to figure out where the vaccum to the petcock connects to. Also that small line hooked to the top of your carb. The smaller one. I cant find anywhere on my quad where there is suppose to hook a vaccum to from the smaller side of the petcock. Please help lol its got me puzzled
@562handsomemike4 жыл бұрын
If you have an “aftermarket” carb, you may not have an “extra” vacuum nipple on carb. Original set up has a vacuum nipple on pet cock to the top left of carb if looking from pet cock side. I’m sorry if my explanation is convoluted.

@Mary Chris Wrong it's a Suzuki engine and frame. Suzuki and KFX are identical besides the color plastics and graphics. The frame sticker even says Suzuki on the KFX. ....The Arctic Cat has it's own bodywork , seat , subframe etc but engine is the same as KFX and LTZ. The engine was first developed for the Suzuki DRZ 400 dual sport motorcycle.

Cool video and I like the explanation for the fuel valve as I always wondered why there was no "off" setting and did not know i could just pull the fuel line and run the carb empty when storing my quad for a while which would have saved me money when i took it to the shop to get the carb cleaned several times over the past few years.. I have a '03 Suzuki Z400 and I believe it is the same engine as your Kawasaki. Got my carb out and will now try to clean it up as shown. Thanks for the video.
