In the 1960s the sport of track and field saw many innovations still in effect today. He would go through a normal warm up process but then spend up to 2 additional hours getting the athlete's muscles "super" stretched and flexible. Musica eseguita a regola d'arte, cantanti solisti di gran qualità. La firma direttoriale è di quel gran genio di Václav Luks ed i suoi fidatissimi coro ed orchestra del Collegium 1704. La messa in scena è suggestiva con figure alla bisogna evocate dal balletto. Devo però anche dire che non mi aspettavo un Vivaldi così ispirato con musica drammatica di alto profilo che facilita l'ascolto. A me poi piacciono molto i recitativi vivaldiani che, sebbene lunghi secondo prassi, posseggono la capacità di esaltare la parola declamata con un alone tipico di malinconia non presente in altri autori. Vivaldi teneva molto all'esecuzione dei recitativi; penso che Václav Luks e il gruppo al basso continuo lo facciano alla perfezione.
