Any tips on how to fix the lever lock? I've tried contacting customer support and because it's outside of warranty, I couldn't even get a tip on how to fix it.

Yes I like this kayak, but I really wish the back of the seat would go down further than it does. Even in its lowest position, the seat back sits up too high for spray skirts to fit very well. I think it wouldn’t take very much of a design change to do it, and this would keep paddlers from having to switch out the seat back with the back band that WS recommends as a part swap - their back band is very poorly designed, difficult to assemble and provides no support at all. WS, I hope you are listening: change rear seat bracket to allow seat back to lower about 2” further, then no back band would ever be needed.

I have one too, took advantage of closeout on discontinued colors. I wish it turned a little easier, otherwise yes it’s awesome for a polyethylene kayak, great features and durability. If you know how to edge turn and use correction strokes, you really can get by without a rudder on the 125, it tracks very well on its own. I am in the process of adding hip pads to feel more connected and have more control, because it doesn’t come with any.

I'm glad this video is available because the printed instructions aren't so good. The holes weren't pre-drilled on my Tsunami 140 purchased in January 2024. There were 2 tiny stars on the coming where the holes needed to be drilled which was nice. The drill size is 3/16". I thought it was easy to put in and it only took a few minutes, if you don't count having to walk back up to house to get the drill and back down again. I'm really happy with the back band. It suits my purposes much better than the original seat back.

You should have kept the rear tracks from the last version, or at least made recesses so they could be installed.

Really disappointed that the Tarpons no longer have a mid hatch or slide tracks in the back. Lack of bungees in the tankwell is a bummer, too.

If the 100 had a frame seat I would have bought one as my throw and go. Since it didn't the Vibe Yellowfin won out. However I am still in the Ride 135 as my main yak. You guys do make good stuff, I just have a back and butt that require good support.

I purchased a Phase 3 Air Pro replacement seat back. I'm fairly handy and mechanical, but I can honestly say that the instructions that came with it are, in a word, horrible. Even after watching this video, I'm still not sure I got it right.

I've got one of their Kayaks....1,350 before tax to add the pedal drive, brutal. While I haven't heard bad things about the pedal drive, it doesn't review as well as the Old Town drive. So I'm at a quandry, possibly thinking of just motorizing the 1200, then having to register, and eventually just buying another cheaper paddle drive, like the Pelican 12.5 fin drive for 1700, that also includes a rudder, which the 1200 does not include...or selling my 1200, and just bite the bullet for an Old Town pdl...or possibly find a used Helix PD....wish it was simple, but budget is limited....One question, I don't see people using the Drive in the shallow setting, is that possible, or is it just getting it out of the way?

Helpful video. I have a leak at the bottom of my bulkhead. You said use any good marine sealant for this task. Did you use the same sealant as the hatch cover, the Black 3M 5200 or something else?

Wildy is dying in the kayak fishing market. No new innovations and the best kayaks they had they quit making. The Commander and Ride series were what made Wildy relevant. Pelican is killing WS.

Thanks, just a reminder for you about plans you have for updating your web site. Normally under specs, cockpit dimensions really should be the size of the actual opening, because that is more useful for customers on fit, and narrowing down the choices when purchasing. For all of the Tsunami models, your web site still gives cockpit dimensions that include the rim (20” wide by 35.75” long), whereas the actual size of the opening is 16” by 32”. Just FYI.

I concur, also adding that now you no longer can fold the back of the seat forward to anchor it during transport. The design would have been so much better, if the band could merely replace the high back seat, then the original plastic frame could be used for support. This would require much less work of course they would need to make the frame a little shorter, but that would have been much better design. The whole idea here, is to make the seat back less tall, so it wouldn’t interfere with spray skirts so much. The original seat sticks up too high even when it’s in the lowest position, that’s the main reason people want to make this change. After seeing this video, and other internet pictures of back band in the finished position, I have decided not to buy this accessory, unless I can figure out a way to utilize the original back frame piece.

I don’t know why this video is shown to be only 3 months old, it is obviously much older than that. It shows a much older seating system, and the back band available for sale does not include the logo, or have a color that matches the trim on the current WS kayak seats.

If doing a video about the features of the kayak, have the camera person (total noob) show the top deck of the boat vs a just a side view. You need to re-shoot as many of us out here want to see the details of the Tarpon. You get a D- for this effort. Note: upgrade the camera too.

At what point does it quit being a kayak? Replace the paddle, remove the splash deck, hollow out the hull, make it taller, raise the seat, add a motor and maybe even pedals. This is pretty much a small v bottom boat now.
