Phil Collins was the drummer for Genisis in the ‘70’s. When their lead singer, another rock legend Peter Gabriel, left, Phil Collins to over vocals. In the mid-90’s Phil Collins left Genisis. I believe he wrote In The Air Tonight during his divorce. It was reported to be be pretty acrimonious. I believe Genisis and Phil Collins was used in the Miami Vice show. Man I got old!
