Hi Brad(s)! 😁 This was a fun video! Looks like you (two) had a blast! I really like the song ever since I heard it a while back. I don’t know how you are not super famous already!!! I don’t listen to a lot of pop / electronic music. I’m more into orchestral, metal, rock and even world music. So, I’m not exactly sure what your genre of music is… Just “dark pop”? In any case… To my ears all your songs have the potential of being hits!!! I don’t know if this is some sort of “underground” pop, but this is the type of music that should be played on mainstream radio. It is leagues ahead of most music they play. I like the way you write songs. It is also much more complex than the usual 3 chords you hear too often. Also the fact that you add guitars and some orchestral elements is maybe the reason I enjoy it. The more I’ve watched your channel, the more I started appreciating all the many details you put into the production. The storytelling you also do with the lyrics is great. I can hear a lot of effort goes into creating them. On top of that, your voice is the real highlight. You sing from the heart. I like your chest voice, but the ethereal high vocals together with the layered harmonies create something magical. Just keep going! I wish you tons of success!

@@dirk.claassen wow thanks so much for such a considered and in depth comment Dirk. I don’t really know what the genre is either because I guess I pull from multiple genres that I love. I would say it’s closest to alternative pop or electronic/indie pop but yes you’re right I like adding ambient and orchestral elements in there too. Whatever creates the most significant emotion and experience is what I aim for. I’m blessed to have you here listening and I’m excited to create and share more music in the coming year 🎶💙

@ It is my pleasure, and I absolutely mean it! Like, you single handedly convinced me that there are good pop musicians currently out there! The world just needs to know about you! I’ve actually been following your music since probably two years. Back when you were still under a different artist name. To be honest, I don’t care a whole lot for labels / genres / sub-genres etc… You shouldn’t be held back creatively to fit into a box. As long as the music speaks to people it does what it is supposed to. Though I suppose alternative pop makes sense for me. Metal has a plethora of sub-genres and it can get a bit much, but it helps people discover similar artists… I was just curious about your style, because it is quite distinct and I have no reference point to “compare” it with other artists, but what I hear from you is magical. Keep on exploring and creating music! I look forward to hearing more in the future. All the best.

Usually "music producers" are super enthusiastic about their own compositions. My advise to you is less is more. You are using way too many tracks, try just 5 tracks to create that atmosphere, but remember it is not about the sounds, it is about the feeling.
