Sold my 100% factory 2007 OBXT in August and bought a 2008 that’s been fully redone with a new subaru short block , Subaru factory VF52 turbo, refreshed heads, STi oil pump, KillerB pickup and windage tray, all new timing, gaskets, etc. Grimmspeed TMIC, downpipe and 3port Boost solenoid. Lots of other Cobb, Perrin and Grimmspeed goodies. The gentleman I bought it from had just poured $15,000 into it in the last year getting it perfected and Tuned by Cryotune. Putting down about 300WHP with a ACT HDSS stage 2 clutch and 2006 WRX lightweight flywheel. Group N engine and transmission mounts. Lowered on Legacy GT suspension and LGT front brakes. Just over 130,000 miles and only 8k since all the work was done. I was getting ready to dump about $10,000 into the 2007 when I found this one. 2008 brought some nice upgrades too. I only get to drive it in the weekends and boy do I look forward to out each time! Other than the down pipe, the exhaust is factory so it’s fairly quiet. I will be adding a catback upgrade soon to get that beautiful rumble!

Just picked up a 09 outback from a local guy. Thanks for the inspiration! Just finished getting a full set of skid plates for it and my crosstrek from primitive racing. Think ill wait a year and install their suspension setup. Im sure it will take us on plenty of adventures

Hows it handling after about a year of settling? Im debating between primitive racing's 0.75" front/1" rear suspension system or the 1.3" one for my 09 outback. Rear looks like it would be a bear from all the videos ive seen.

I bought the Vevor awning and the Vevor awning room. An unfortunate issue with the Vevor awning we received is that water leaks through it even in moderate rain. It's kinda waterproof, there's PU coating, but it's not enough for an awning in my view.

Has it overheated again? How is your subi running. My 1991 nissan maxima temp gauge started acting funny yesterday, it was going up into the red area. I turned on my cabin heater on full blast but I noticed the air from the radiator was cooler than the air from inside. :/ I bought some radiator cleaner, new thermostat and 2 bottles of anti freeze. Hope this fixes it. Love my car when it works, hate it when it doesn't 😂

I faced a similar situation with my 05' OBXT. I have spent so much on it and two years ago I had one of the valves crack and the block warped. I decided to spend the $7k~ to do a full rebuild but that was almost all of my savings at the time... These cars really are fun but they need a special love and care that other cars don't really need. These cars are so finicky and different, but they are so rewarding to drive and they just stand out from the rest. Sad to see yours go but I guarantee you'll find yourself in another one down the road.

Yes, someone understands my feelings about these wagons. Exactly what you said. These cars need a lot of love to keep them running smoothly, but once they are running well, it's so rewarding and fun to drive. Thanks for understanding and commenting. 🙏🏻😁✌️❤️
