Great video buddy had a few of these tied a few years back from andy there still in the box. The blue and pink shrimps caught a good few with them

This fly will catch the Stillwater trout that I’m fishing. I have a jig bead head nymph with a glo-brite 14 baby blue body that is a killer nymph. It seems like any blue fly will catch trout very well at times. I have this color shell back. I’m trying this fly. I believe it’s going to be a killer fly. Thanks.

I don’t think it does that much to be honest. If you do a really short tail. It will sit in the water like a emerger. I think it’s more for profile. 👍

Fabulous pattern and a real favourite of mine. I like the emerging pattern as well although my go to is a version of the Quigley Cripple. Really nice tie Steven. Any chance you could do the spinner before the hatch starts? 🤣

You are welcome to tie it the way you wish. If I’d have tied it with olive right away then the colour of the tinsel would’ve changed due to the olive underneath it and the fly ultimately would have been thicker.

Tied a few of these flies after watching you demonstrate the tying Steve. Caught both trout and Grayling when tied as a point fly. Another never leave home without them fly👍🏻

You are starting to be my favorite fly ther here on KZbin. The main reason so far, Is you tie jig nymphs small with over sized beads which I like and like to tie and fish. I tied your last jig nymph up and caught trout today on it. Excited to tie this one !! Thanks a ton!!
