oh yeah... I have a lot. I bought a big set to do a sharpie art challenge video (which I never finished). I like using all the colours to write on shop orders and such!

I just wached video "7 tips I learned from buying Loish Patreon course" by Billiana art. She goes into detail about her Patreon and showing some parts, brushes etc. It is really helpful after watching it since she subscribed to her Patreon I realized I should too

Ugh, another cringy wanna be artist. Just looking for recs. Most videos have more or less the same kind of cliche person as she is. I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling this way so my advice guys: set on the CC and just mute her voice as you watch the video. The recs are at least useful.

The reason a lot of these books suck is because they're made by one-off authors/cartoonists trying to cash in on the trend of anime while barely knowing anything about it themselves. There are some good ones but you really have to go out of your way to search for them because they are the exception and not the rule.

There are a lot more good quality ones published in english and available now than compared to even 10 years ago! It's great but you're right its like hunting to find ones that are worth while. I think a lot of parents or family buying a gift for someone will go "oh anime!" and not know what are good ones. Hoping these videos help people save time and money and get books they love!
