Good teachings from both the red guy (silat) and the white guy (jiu-jitsu).

I have no idea what Penchack Silat is but it looks and sounds like absolute garbage. Like complete ineffective fake flashy bullshit.

The greats of Jiu Jitsu in the US have their background in Silat. All came from the Inosanto lineage. To this day most see Silat as more of fantasy than real stuff. Except for Burton Richardson and his Silat for the Street maybe. Most Silat practitioners cnnot pull it off against resisting oponents. When confronted with this, they resort to ridiculous arguments about weapons and streetfighting. I remember when Rorion said that if you cannot defeat one person, why bother about weapons or multiple oponents.

Pretty much what it is. He’s not gonna ever show his stuff with live opposition.

There has been silat practitioners who were able to pull off their art on resisting opponents, all depending on the training they had and also combining it with combat sports.

Nice. But you do things way too fast when it comes to hitting pressure points. I can't even see where exactly pressure is applied because the camera is too far away. If you zoomed in slowmo when you hit your opponent's head, people would have a much easier time understanding what areas you're talking about.

When I watch videos like this one, which I'll admit is pretty impressive compared to some of the other useless self defense and Martial Arts techniques videos I've seen on KZbin, but it is still lacking key principles that I can see which make it not as effective as the style I train in. It makes me appreciate all the more that I live in Perth WA, the only place that teaches the style we learn. Originally called Malcolm Sue Kung Fu School in the 90's, the style called Ging Mo Kune, but since then it broke off into 2, The McDojo - Ging Mo Academy, (which lost it's way) and Southern Kung Fu (where I am now) who have made it even better. What is lacking in this video is control! Strikes are great, but why strike, strike, strike, when instead a strike can be a control and a control can turn into a strike. We learn to never let up as soon as we initiate contact, till we've taken your jaw, ripped off your arms from the shoulders and elbows and break your shins & knees. We learn to use our conditioning to overwhelm and suffocate our opponents weapons & break their spirit. I still haven't seen a superior style anywhere in the world.

You have to show us real situations where you have kicked some butt, otherwise there are enough videos of masters yes, masters, teaching people, and you do not want to know what the public think of those masters. So come on, show us some real fights you have been involved in.
