I would love to take part in your boat trip, but I can't find the right one because there are so many providers. Could you perhaps help me? The tour from Funchal to Ponta do Pargo, could you tell me who offers this tour and what the costs are? Also, it would be great if you could tell me how we can get back by public transportation after the boat trip as we are students on a budget. Thank you in advance for your help! Kind regards

Hi @aladinon11 I believe the tour is called “Rota das Fajãs”. In my case and what you see in the video, it was a privately organized tour in late August. My sister was invited, and our family was able to secure spots too, so I don’t have the booking details as we just tagged along for the day. The provider was VTM Madeira, regarding price, it can vary when booking directly with them. Check their website or social channels. 😊 As for public transportation, the catamaran leaves from Avenida do Mar which is very central, reachable by bus (depending on where you are/will be staying, of course) taxi or bolt.

Hi Isabel! So happy for you! Hope you love Madeira. Sure I’m happy to suggest a few places, besides the ones mentioned in the video, in Funchal and other locations on the island: - restaurants for fish/seafood/”petiscos” - Caniçal is a top spot with many restaurants to choose from. - restaurants for the traditional “espetada” - In the Estreito area, I recommend Santo António (my family and I have been going there for many years) and O Polar. Overall, Casal da Penha in Funchal is amazing and also MadMarket, is also nice. For pizza Papa Manuel. If you are looking for fancier dining, many of the top hotels offer fine dining options. - For bars - check the Zona Velha area in Funchal; Three House also in Funchal; in Paul do Mar, Maktub Pub. For “poncha” Câmara de Lobos, Serra d’Água (also Poiso if you are passing by) are must-visits. Also check “O Barracão” in Parque Ecológico do Funchal, is quite unique. I tend to go back to favourites rather than meeting new places whenever I’m back on the island, but there are so many good restaurants to explore. Let me know any favourites you discover after your visit so I can also check out.

My wife and I visited Portugal last October, beautiful Country and people, food was amazing…we are trying to visit Madeira with our 3 children perhaps in mid April 2025 but everyone has an opinion where to go. Either way, I will be visiting this beautiful island
