Never read the bright light but I remember link 80 when I was in high school and how Nick killled himself; link 80 was a well known band in the ska scene, he died before I even knew about them i believe but he seemed like a really talented and cool person to hang out with. Wish I could have met him!

Link 80 came to Manteca CA and it was the most epic thing that had ever happened to that town. It was my first show and there hasn't been one that's come close to that. It was like when the Berlin wall fell. Felt like the end of the world!

Hung out with Nick and the band on a roof after they played in Memphis in probably 96 or 97. I was still in high school. Felt cooler than cool. Thanks for the music, Nick.

Those were the days. I was lucky enough to catch them play in Vero beach as a kid...Im pretty sure at least...been a long time, almost cant count on the veracity of my memory anymore. Tons of shows, tons of fun, tons of bad times, and about 25 years between then and now. Wouldnt trade them, but would love to relive them.

Just read "His Bright Light" by D.S. What a loving mother she was. A gifted and amazing person her son was and gone way too soon. 😞 I saw a video of his newer band "Knowledge". R.I.P.

I just started seeing him literally the day before he died. It was kind of traumatizing because he was such a nice guy, seemed full of life. I'm glad I got to spend a little time with him, he was definitely a bright light. Still think about him from time to time. RIP XOXO
