You are not supposed to turn on high beam, if there is a vehicle in front, unless you do have an ADB headlight.

It is a matrix headlight with 32 segments, and an additional sail-light high beam to extend the horizontal illumination angle of high beam to around 60 degrees, far exceeding any other high beam on planet. The digital headlight equipped on A8 facelift, has replaced the spotlight high beam with DMD pixel high beam, and the sail-light high beam is preserved. For reference, this microLED based pixel high beam on Cayenne is 40 degrees wide horizontally, according to media press from Porsche.
Its brightness is very decent, according to media press from Porsche, the luminous intensity in the center of high beam is 85% of the legal limit of high beam according to UNECE R149. You are not going to expect anything that is way brighter than this. The problem of this headlight is the limited luminous flux of the two microLED pixel module of the headlight assembly: 1, The two pixel modules provides only 1,400 lumen of the 2,500 lumen high beam. 2, The rest two conventional LED high beam module provides the left 1,100 lumen. If Porsche has chosen one microLED module with a matrix module, and a spotlight high beam module, the properties about brightness could be way better, that the luminous flux could be greatly increased while maintaining the same center brightness(luminous intensity) of high beam.
