I was considering this saw until you showed the EXTREME drift on that cut at 36 secs. No thanks. that is BAD.

I enjoy your videos but the quality of the camera needs improvement. It is very grainy and hard to watch, at least for me.

Ok. 10 year old video. But this is exactly what I needed to know. It’s what I’ve been looking for. Thank you for this.

It is a rebranded BMI Pocket Tape 405 Visio at a premium cost, truly dreadful, does not always retract, and is a nightmare to reassemble.

The ONLY thing you could have discussed was taking "incremental" cuts, because you probably would NOT be taking a 3/4 cut in one swipe.

Ive watched a ton of videos and no one has mentioned the lack of the fence guide having a table height support when extended out. The Dewalt fence had a mechanism that flipped over so your wood couldnt sink or tip into the open area when ripping sheet stock. Its def something that could make this better and more error free.
@conditionsunknown93844 ай бұрын
It has an extendable shelf that is made into the bottom of the fence. You turn the dial on top of the fence and it comes out .

I have the OF 1400 and my collet does not center within the guide bushing at all. There is enough play in the plunge rod bushings to cause it to move all over the place. Where is the high quality Festool promotes??? But... the dust collection is spot on!
@danj532 Жыл бұрын
The depth adjustment is not easy, it needs a better explanation. You are better off with a drill press where you can spin the depth of ajustement wheel and measure it with a caliper this is very inaccurate for precision work
@williamcooper5009 Жыл бұрын
Here’s my testimonial: unreliable, not precise, sneeze near it and calibration is blown, and Festool themselves cannot calibrate these things. But dust collection is good. You’ll just spend many more hours multi-cutting your miter cuts to make them tight.

I've tried all of the above and more to get my Jet 1632 to stop tracking to the right. The factory belt that came on the machine I tore accidentally. I have gone through 4 replacement belts and not one will stay in position. I've contacted Jet Tools numerous times and haven't gotten a single response. Machine has 10 hours of use and can't use it unless I sit at the machine with an allen wrench and constantly readjust while sanding. Pissed! Anyone know where I can get a rubber belt for it?

Total BS ! Just cut on the flat, change the miter and bevel angles end of story.

I’m going to be staining and finishing my oak stairs. I’ve been told I need to do 2 coats of stain waiting 24 hours to dry each time then “as many coats of lacquer that I have the patience for…and use a “buff pad”. Do I need to use the sanding technique shown here between every coat or just at the end?
