Blessing in disguise. This was the first year. Now any year they don’t make the nfc championship is a bad year
@brianmulholland24675 сағат бұрын
The Jury is out in the very limited sense that this job requires near constant success. Go through any extended period of mediocrity (or worse failure) and your success will get discounted fast. But this was ONE OF the greatest single season turnarounds in NFL history. To go from 4-13 to 12-5 is astonishing. Most teams that go through radical one year turnarounds like that were good before injuries or other things caused the down year, then the star QB gets healthy and you're suddenly amazing again. Washington had some of that with Eric Bienemy, but they were legit bad in 2023. And then they turned over about 2/3rds of their roster, a 'burn it down' rebuild that normally takes time to come back from. Instead it was a +8 turnaround instantly. That's epic. And AP gets a significant share of the credit. And this draft, which seems to be the main point of criticism, was quite good. The caller seems to want every rookie to be an instant contributor. That's not how drafts work. Yes, SOME players should contribute instantly. But many take time. Jayden, Sainristil, and Brandon Coleman were all significant contributors as rookies. Now, if Coleman and Sainristil never get better than what they were THIS year, that would be bad...but for rookies, they were quite good. I think Newton actually contributed more than we could have reasonably hoped given his return from 2 foot surgeries. McCaffrey will need to do more, but let's remember, that dude was basically a 4th rounder. He was taken towards the end of the compensatory picks in the 3rd. Most 3rd round receivers don't become Terry McLaurin. If Luke becomes a good WR3, that's a win. And he's raw. He has time. Sinnott I think is the one guy that stands out as someone I had higher hopes for. But you know a position that is infamous for not being easy for rookies to contribute? Tight End. We just saw LaPorta and Bowers defy that trend, but alot of TEs take time, and we KNEW Sinnott was raw coming out. I think Gary has unrealistic expectations for what a good draft looks like after one year.

I disagree. The only thing I disliked during the draft was Peters trading Cooper DeJean(the draft pick) to the Eagles. We got Newton and he seems to be part of our future, I just hate trading within the division, period. We could have def used DeJean but I trust Peters and DQ to do what they have to do.

Falcons OT win. JD5 put on the cape and did what needed to be done. When they scored, he just strutted backwards like "This is what I do". We had 0 run game.

A plea to media, fans, owners, and everyone. Please do NOT get comfortable with the current team name. I don't care how much we win with it, we're not winning BECAUSE of it. It's a terrible team name on it's own merits. It's long and doesn't flow well off the tongue. it's generic and weak. It sounds like something a Division III directional school would pick after a committee spent years wasting time and just needed to 'pick something'. The Middle Southwest Tennesse A&M Commanders. But above all of that, the name will forever remind us of Snyder. Everytime I say it or hear it, I'm reminded of that d-bag. I don't think that's ever going to not be the case.

To be fair, Sinnott was kinda blocked by Ertz & then Bates…he worries me a lot less than Luke. With how we needed WR help this season, would’ve like to see more from Luke, however he is new to the position and is a hard worker so I could see him contributing A LOT more in 2025

Adam Peters showed in his first offseason that he knows how to build a championship caliber team. He knows how to allocate resources, he knows how to evaluate talent (every guy he drafted was either very close to being, or was, a top athlete in the draft as far as the RAS grades go. The coaching staff he brought in has developed guys and will continue to do so. I’m very high on AP. To say he has not proven he can be reliable in this regard is nonsense
@peterranney948817 сағат бұрын
Something that doesn't get talked about with the Jerry Jones/Dan Snyder stuff is that Jones probably just wanted to keep Snyder around as a punching bag. As messed up as it is the owners are all evaluated in the court of public opinion, and they are graded on a curve. Now that Snyder is gone we are seeing more heat going to people like Jones, Tepper in Carolina, Haslem in Cleveland, Shad Khan in Jacksonville, and Woody Johnson in New York. Deservedly so. The fact is that there will always be 8-10 "bad owners" in the league in the court of public opinion, and if you get rid of the owners that are worse than you then suddenly you find yourself subject to all the bad press that would have just been business as usual a few owners ago.

Hey Craig, what's your current take on Deni...? :)
@craighoffman17 сағат бұрын
That Blazers fans who are way too excited are falling into the same exact trap Wizards fans did. Deni's a very good player. He's not going to be the best player on a winning team, which is why the Blazers are near the bottom of the West as Blazers fans/Deni fans throw a party that he's averaging a whopping 15 ppg lmao
@isidoro856616 сағат бұрын
@@craighoffman Let me get this straight, you are STILL not changing your assessment that Deni is at best a 5th or 6th guy on a contender??
@craighoffman11 сағат бұрын
No? What evidence exists that that’s a wrong take? He’s averaging less than 15ppg on a terrible team lmao

Sinnott is a bust or a Waste for a 2nd round TE pick!! You would expect a pro-ready TE in that spot!!! Especially with a 35 y/o Ertz coming in...Thats a 5th or 6th round pick at best for a average blocker!!.. we could've got a hella lot more talent with a middle 2nd round pick!! I say it again A 2nd Round pick!! Luke is a literally New WR and you pick him in the 3rd round before Bucky Irving who btw had a stellar rookie season(B Rob replacement).. a wasted 3rd pick!!! The rest were solid behind JD5 n Frozone!!
@Elements4Nature22 сағат бұрын
Absolutely ! He could have drafted JD5 Wr from LSU . He was drafted 23rd by the Jags. Peters could have moved up to get him. JD5 fell in his lap. Also he could have traded for jerry Judy for a 5th round pick from Denver also. So Adam has proved he was a failure in not seeing the capability of JD5.

I am not sure about that, but I am of one thing, and that is; They should draft a big, bruising back with 4.5 speed (and they are out there). Mullings from Michigan comes to mind. Washing surely needs a back that can move a pile on goal ine stands, and one that when he hits the line, he doesn't just fall down. A back like that can wear defenses down. Please draft a big back
@combodad2235Күн бұрын
I wouldn't mind a big back. especially with that kind of speed. It could be our version of Lamar and Derrick Henry

@combodad2235 Well, a diel threat would be great, but one workhorse, would be just fine with me. Or, a guy that get 18 to 25 Carrie's a game, and having a 3rd down specialist (like Brian Mitchell used to be

He should've been more specific.. Using a mid 2nd round pick on Sinnott is a waste and picking Luke in the 3rd a dude who just became a receiver 2 years ago is definitely a wasted pick!! Those 2 were picked before Bucky Irving(4th rd) who had a stellar rookie season and was cooking us in the playoffs!! Bucky is more a RB we need over B Rob who just ain't cutting it. The rest of the picks are solid behind JD5 n Frozone!!!

"Something they are going to learn from" will they though? We had 5 turnovers, multiple fumbles vs them week 16, then come out and have 3 fumbles lost in this game, seems like they don't learn much. They beat the Rams punching the ball out, you would think ball security would be a huge emphasis.

That said it’s not a given Harris will spend the dough. The sixers opened the season with 14/15 roster spots so he could duck the tax. He also lost out on Ben Johnson because they didn’t offer him enough money.

The Johnson part flat out isn't true, and the competitive reasons for ducking the tax (repeater tax, etc) in the NBA are different than just pure cash output. Stop climbing polls and do more reading before you come in the smart people section.
