What a beautiful voice John has. He puts so much feeling into the song. The Rubettes were excellent for writing and singing about this topic. Especially back then when it was a taboo subject. I love it❤❤❤❤❤❤

Why is it so hard to track down this mix of the song? It's by far the best.

I know this song through the Waylon Jennings version, which I love. But this is pretty amazing; I need to get better acquainted with Newbury's work.

I just heard this for the first time and it grabbed me right away. What a great song, we can relate to an old love that felt like true love . . . and probably was the one that got away.

Ford used to make such nice cars, but not anymore. Here in America I own a 1977 LTD. I refer to it as the American version of England's Cortina, but only bigger and better looking. I envy Australia though as they had the better looking LTDs at the time.

It amazes me how few people listen to him, or have heard of him. And even when I tried to get my family to listen they never get it. Leaves me flabbergasted.
never understand why this never was a hit. a beautif ul song with a strong message.

Criminally underrated masterpiece, the incredibly tight rhythm section along with Colin Blunstones stellar vocals, the definition of a gem.

Give 'em credit - they're really making the effort here, even if their "Keith" doesn't add anything to the Tchaikovsky riff...and we can't criticize their "John" for less-than-total recall, when the real one's no better!

This is just , wow. "Pieces of Her" brought me here. I assumed the song on the jukebox came from the 70s and was some kind of Stones B-side but this song ROCKS, so impressed , wow.
