Hello, not sure if you check your comments but like, how would you solve an equation that’s like this: X = y + 6 X = -2 - y
@TodaysMathLessonIs29 күн бұрын
Hi. Sure. That system is an x = x system. Thus, y + 6 = -2 - y. When you solve for y, you find y = -4. Substituting -4 into x = y + 6 for y, you find that x = 2. I hope that helps.

Is that f(x)’
@TodaysMathLessonIsАй бұрын
No. It’s not.
@benoitf77092 ай бұрын
f(x+a.y) ≠ f(x) + a.f(y). So no, f is nonlinear. what you mean is that g = f - 8 is linear.

In which kind of job would you use Factor Quadratics with other leading coefficients
@TodaysMathLessonIs5 ай бұрын
Any job that addresses parabolic movement of objects may need to Factor a Quadratic with or without a leading coefficient of 1. Those objects might be: basketballs, car crashes, rockets, carnival rides, waterfalls, or a whole list of other objects.

When tutoring, I explain it like that: what would you have to multiply it with to get to 1? Obviously, 1 = 86⁴/86⁴ = 86⁴ × 1/86⁴ Also, 1 = 86⁰ = 86⁽⁴⁻⁴⁾ = 86⁴ × 86⁻⁴ So 1/86⁴ and 86⁻⁴ must be the same.

That's a nice explanation.

Hi. I'm not quite ready to do more complex problems yet. Still working through my lesson intro example problems. But, I hope to get there. Thank you for the feedback.
