I remember when Brandon passed back in '93, it really bothered me because he passed away too😞soon! There's no doubt he would've been a big star, the only question should be who didn't want him to be?

Brandon talking about the guy robbing his VHS player made me realize how things were bulkier back in the day. Now you could grab a TV with one arm. Brandon would be able to break the guys other arm though.

Rapid Fire was the first martial arts/action film I watched where the hero showed some vulnerability, and that was all Brandon Lee's acting as well as the fight choreography, which made him seem like a more authentic action hero. You never saw that with Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Bruce Willis, JCVD, Segal, etc. I remember thinking "how refreshing" this is. You hardly see it with today's action stars, either... the Rock, Vin Diesel, Jason Statham... they actually have stipulations in their contracts that they can't lose a fight or made to look bad in a fight.

I would say Arnie has shown some vulnerability in his films, for example, in films like Conan the Barbarian and Predator, which are the two most recent films I've watched of his, he wasn't afraid of letting his character looking vulnerable or get his ass kicked from time to time. Of course, I need to watch more movies haha Other than that, though, yes, Brandon did show more vulnerability and humanity in his two definitive films (Rapid Fire and The Crow, still need to watch his other films) than many of the other action starts throughout their entire careers. Brandon was one of those people in Hollywood who had that genuine sense of kindness to them, rather than being a fake tough guy like, say, Dwayne (I'll always respect him as a wrestler during his prime, but he's since fallen off). So many other children of famous people would have ended up as failures or just assholes who got where they were only because of nepotism rather than any real talent, but Brandon was most certainly different. Man, I wish that guy was still here with us right now.... Also, now that you mentioned Seagal in the same paragraph as Brandon, I'll never forgive that bastard for using Brandon's death to stroke is already ginormous ego. Fuck Steven Seagal and his drawn on widows peak.
