I connected 12v to both seats, and then the drivers seat stopped working... Any ideas? Is my computer broken?

If other functions still working in the seat and some are not , maybe motor not good Or if the seat is completely dead and not even making a noise when you move tue buttons maybe something wrong or you jot provide strong 12v current by providing a fat wire for it

@taco8v tried again just now, all the functions seem to work except moving the seat back. Quite important... They came from another car I own which they worked in. It might be just a coincidence that the switch broke 🥲

To add: last try everything stopped working when I was testing it, and now it works again. Maybe some moisture got in the seat control as I did store them in a shipping container for a while, which was quite moist.

This will happen if wire can’t provide strong current , the ecu have a cut off if not enough current. Maybe where you get the current can’t support the draw amp from the motor . Maybe try to use one function at a time and not 2 at same time if this works You will have to provide straight power 10ga or 12ga wire with a fuse

Will shifting my 99 alh that has a auto 4 speed manually bad for the life span, I know Ik the 01M transmisión is bad but will that speed the prosses even if I’ve done fluid changes car just hit 203k

It actually can kill it faster because it will build more heat in clutches . And heat is what it kills them , to extend the life ,i will sagest to tune the tcu for lower shifting points . Also buy an external oil cooler.( I have a video for both how to do it with vcds and installing the oil cooler too )

This is not my car I worked on it for a customer, but i believe this guy still have it . About the cams you need to know what degree you need to advance the timing or retardant and proper tune for it

Nissan has a good solution to this on the Versa, they use styrofoam which doesn't absorb water, and it's cheap but works.

You know if you make cars that last 4 ever nobody will buy new cars. That must also be the reason why they have started to make plastic engine parts as well. Surely an aluminium part that will last the lifetime of the car is better, but then you have no reason to buy new parts.

Exactly Sponges are the problem ! Not only VW, almost all car makers put sponges everywhere because it reduce noise and is cheap isolation !!!

I have .275um nozzles fitted. I can't get my 1856 turbo to spool if the IQ is that high...why does yours spool?

What is your mpg with that tune? I used to average 66mpg but that engine (370k mi) broke a glow plug and wrecked the head. Swapped in a fresh engine but my fuel mileage now is in the 50s. Been trying to find a tune to increase mpg. Thanks for the vid!

Tune is new don’t know yet . But if it doesn’t smoke i can tell the it’s going to be good . If you mess with the set up on tdi s its very easy to lose the sweet spot and very hard to find it back to me is the you changed the compresión by changing the heads maybe a different head gasket or you haven’t found the injection pump sweet spot idk many factors can be Start by checking compression

Superb mod Taco. Did you factor in the base Timing Advance needed for Water-Meth injection and propane injection? If not, I can tell you we are losing around 20% of the intended power that must get added with these mods. Maybe, installing a suitable TAP(Timing Advance Processor) which switches on from the signal of your Boost Pressure Switch will solve the deficiency and help you gain that lost power, performance and mileage.

Man i was just thinking about new mounts . Replaced them all over a year ago on my golf and i can shake the whole engine with my hand already so im going to try this. Just got a second ALH , a Jetta this time and its going to need new everything so ill try it there first . One tube does the whole mount ?

Theres a device the you can buy to do this conversions specifically for vnt turbos in a car with not way to control vnt turbos works amazingly well. It goes conected to vacuum and boost and turbo actuator completely mechanical not voltage involved

Before you try to get that seal replaced in the plug . Change the cap seal the majority of the time is always the seal from the cap . Somehow it looks the it comes from the block plug but its not . Mark the cap head where shes at and remove the 4 bolts Change the cap seal and the cap head seal since it’s going to be out .
