Oh no. If I was at home watching a movie I've been dying to see and someone started fast forwarding through it I'd flip. Or kept pausing it, and talking through it. That's exactly why I got to the theater 😅

I think mine was Nightmare on Elm Street because of the soundtrack and dark humor.

I'm happy for this generation because they have such an icon in their horror movies. I had all the usual suspects. Freddy Jason Michael Chucky. Remember the day you found out what the beginning of a franchise was? Like Freddy's not dead??? After watching the first one. Now kids today get to have their own stuff that goes way harder than anything we've experienced. I'm 45

HI! just found your content, as someone who didn't get to grow up watching these types of movies, parent was against SpongeBob and other things so i only really got to watch barbie and Disney i really liked this movie-but that's probably since i never went in with expectations and i enjoyed it, so much so i just saw it again today. to each their own, but i liked the sub story's- it gave us a chance to see the daughter and everything going on with her. I heard that Tim made this Soley off the vibes of the first one. as a new Tim Burrton fan I'd say its like a 8/10. i feel like his old fans should just be happy they get more to the storyline but keep going with your channel! do you have an recommendations for movies more like this? I like the feeling and how things looked.

I would say for movies with a similar trick or treat type vibe, check out my video on ultimate Halloween movies kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpSwk4V_mNF1h6csi=9gKs9ZU0Z-sV5YRH - I go from family friendly then delve into the more horror stuff. Disney originals are always a great choice for rewatching for nostalgia for me but similar to this movie, I would say Ghostbusters, Addams Family, Little Shop of Horrors (if you don’t mind musicals), the Witches, the Burbs, the people under the stairs (which is going to be remade soon), the Frighteners (may need to check the rating on some before you watch with kids). Prime also has a nice way of pulling up similar content after you watch something as does Netflix. Can’t wait to hear what ends up becoming your favorite of the Burton movies. I’d say mine has to be Sleepy Hollow. It’s not at all the same vibe as beetlejuice but if you’re looking for a good stormy night vibe, definitely check it out and let me know what you think! 🎃 💀

This movie was a 5 outta 10 at best, a cash grab of a movie. The best part was the opening credits when you are getting excited for the movie and you hear the music and see Danny Elfman is behind it but also the Maitlands do make an appearance in the model walking out of the water right as the camera passes through the model area with the bridge they crashed. It is ironic that a Predator killed Jeffrey Jones character. They built up 3 love interest type characters, the ex-wife, the new Friend Boy, and the new fiance, but they did nothing for the movie. And BOB! He had such a promising future 😢

The mention of the Maitlands and the model showing them didn’t really feel like an “appearance” to me but to each their own. That’s the beauty of opinions, we all get to form our own 👻 Completely gutted about Bob too but very much appreciated the comedic relief it added to the ending. Always nice to hear other perspectives so thank you for the comment! 🎃

@@questionswithconnie - Lisbeth took over my heart as favourite female literary character 🥰 As for this remake I’m going to wait until it gets to Netflix or Amazon Prime and grab a bottle of wine to get through it. It did, however inspire me to revisit The Crow: City of Angels. Still a LOT of issues with it (yes, Tim Pope, I’m looking at you!) but there are more redeeming features than I remembered so thank you for inspiring me to revisit the franchise :) xx

Hello Connie!! I was the same we didn't have much money either or they make a costume with what was available. One suggestion is add more tags/hashtags to your videos not sure if you have seen when you are uploading a video it has a tags box add the most you can that will push your video more out :)

Since using new resources in my last 20 or so videos, I’ve begun doing better at making better thumbnails, tags, descriptions etc. I plan on going back through some of my older videos to spruce those up as well but with work and life, it’s been a little easier said than done but it is definitely in the works 🫶🏼🎃

We (husband and I) saw glen at our spirit this year but I’m sadly running out of fireplace area space so I had to be selective for my last bit of space😩. Currently on the hunt for the Art Crispies tumbler which seems to be the most elusive thing so far but we’re hopeful that even if we don’t get our hands on them this year, maybe they’ll restock online or maybe stock more next year 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

@questionswithconnie it's a mix of frightmar and haunters the best part of both without much downside, I love it. It's my favorite con. Besides everything to shop for, guests to meet (lines aren't bad), you can watch free horror shorts all 3 days (most directors are there to answer questions after they show)

I kinda liked the dynamic of the family but as a horror this was very poor. I did not find it scary. The attempts to make the pool scary failed miserably and the dialogue became so dreadful it was literally laughable. A couple cool set ups and shots but overall this one didn’t work for me. Great review 👍

Yeah I can understand that perspective - I guess for me it played to my childhood fears so not a lot was needed for me to be scared by it plus I had killer surround sound on in my house and it was late so there’s that but to each their own - I think with reviews it’s definitely in the eye of the beholder much like everything in life so we can only speak from our own view point but always appreciate the feedback! 🎃💜🍿

I was super excited to see this because the first two in the franchise…. I was also disappointed. I felt like I was rewatching the first movie but with different actors. Welp hopefully they redeem themselves on the next one.
