As a chaotic neutral main I regular switch between acts of profound good or undeniable evil.For example In my recent campaign I healed a guy because I almost killed him in a fight.I then proceeded to waterboard him for fun.

If someone countered my divine smite i'd say that's a win as it opens up a world of hurt from the sorcerer or wizard in my party. Should of saved that counterspell for when it was really needed haha.

2014: raging barb/paly multiclass with PAM smiting 4 times per round. 2024: can't smite while raging, can only smite once per round, counterspell.

Yeah…this was an awful change They could have just kept it it as-is but made it only useable once per turn, and it would have been FINE Instead they rendered it useless

No offense, but while this is undeniably a useless build as far as direct combat and damage goes, it is a fairly useful one when it comes to roleplaying and social situations.
