I am no engineer but I am pretty sure that is not a recommend lifting point for trucks. Those are supposed to be for pulling not lifting. If you have an under reach why do it this way in the first place? Pickup by the steer axle. I'd rather have an overweight fine and be safe than lose the damn truck going down the road.

I had a 1987 Wood-Mizer LT40HD. Three engine rebuilds and 6000 hours later I sold it in 2004. I miss the work but then I don't. Arthritis has messed me up.

Intetesting. It looks like an implement on the back of snowcats called a tiller that breaks up the hardpack snow and ice and fluffs it up.

I know you just cut what you're told, but I would have stopped at those 2x16s. Those were fine looking boards.

Good size logs , you really should keep them off the stones in the yard, saw blades don't like them. Maybe get some skids down. Good luck with the mill.

Nice sawmill. Good job. Years ago, I got a tour through the Collins Pine sawmill in the northern Sierras. They removed the bark before they sent the logs into the headmill. The guy said the bark traps a lot of dirt and sand from all the windstorms the tree has gone through and cutting through bark dulls sawblades quickly. Of course that was a production mill and if the headsaw went down the whole mill was idle, so maybe with a small mill like yours it doesn't make any difference. If you ever get a chance, take a tour through a busy commercial mill. Is well with the time. I bet the Collins Pine headsaw could cut those 18 footers in 3 or 4 seconds.

It's hard to understand how it's heavy. I'll just say the gross weight limit in USA is 80,000lbs... so this is 3x more. This kind of load acts like a motorcycle. If you tilt, you will turn. I think it's what happened... Question: did y'all forget the 8 wood planks near the kingpin? xD

Delivery built into the price? Or how much do you charge for pickup delivery.
@CountryEquipmentRentals6 ай бұрын
If it’s super close I’ll deliver for free, 10 miles $25 20 miles $50 30 miles $75 40 miles $100 and so on. Usually something close to that.

Good work, Always good to have a rollback operator who can get resourceful and knows when to multiply the lines to the load, However that is not 20k in resistance, especially with him helping in gear.
@CountryEquipmentRentals6 ай бұрын
Nope, probably only 9,000 lbs of resistance, 4,500 on each line
