An interesting rendition of a song that is majestic. I would've given Rush the Order of Canada 🇨🇦 (OC) just for this song alone. You guys do it justice on your acoustic version. Gary & Alexander are pleased, I am sure.

Excellent arrangement and performance! It has its own energy to it. Years ago, the great Bruce Dickinson told Rush, “Trust me- you’re gonna’ want that bassoon…” 😂

Rush are the rock & roll Motzart's of there time. Orchestras will be playing this song 100 years from now, probably in ballets too.

Is everyone else listening to this, singing the lyrics as the song plays? "To find the sacred river Alph To walk the caves of ice Oh, I will dine on honey dew And drink the milk of paradise, oh, paradise..." Love it! To think that UFO used to make fun of Neil's Lyrics when they toured together. They use to hold up a sign below the stage when Rush played Xanadu. The sign had "I will dine on honey dew, and drink the milk of paradise" as a taunt to tell Rush they took themselves too seriously. I think they are some of the best Rock lyrics ever written and one of the reasons why I loved Rush. Who else in rock wrote great tunes about Kubla Khan or Bytor and the Snowdog? Ha!

Bad rehashing idea. I never would have liked that song if it had been released this way. I understand fans appreciate the hommage, but Rush were rockers. It's a bit like listening to Yngwe Malmsteem. If I want to hear Paganini, I put on some Paganini. No, I don't think this is a good idea. That drummer's almost an insult to Neil Peart's heartfelt and powerful execution. Glad some people like it. Don't get offended, no one cares if I'm right or wrong. Enjoy, if you must. Not my cup of tea.
