Is taking the AC compressor out the only way to get the alternator out? I’m working on my B300 now
@MoparNewportАй бұрын
@AnotherRodriguez not on the small block v8, but you have to go thru the wheel well to get at it. I took mine off due to clearance problems with the replacement alternator.

I took off the small radiator for the AC off... Would anything happen if I run it like that with the hose cut off or do I have to loop it around?

Where is the Flasher Can for the blinkers on these? The factory assembly manual mentions them but not where they are located. You would think near the fuse box right?

Looks like either an early Bay West or Badger shovel, my guess is a Bay west from the side the travel controls are on, that's most likely a McCormick engine and transmission on it.

Theres a 75 21' ford thats sitting at my job. No title big hole in the roof. 460 C6 dualies and a 12 bolt. Ive been seriously debating on doing this kind of conversion. Problem is i know the camper section can be rebuilt fairly easy.Other problem is I dont needs a flat bed or a camper. But boy do i need a 460 wheelie wagon lol

I have a Cheyenne and an Alpine here in Northern Alaska. My Alpines windshield was cracker five ways. I found a $30 plastic welder on Amazon and it did the job. Looks much better and stopped it from cracking more.

I've got the same machine. I put a dual skag Simmons Flex-Ski on it, and it steers better. Also, I learned to lean the wrong way (to the outside) of the turn. Turns great in any snow or hard pack.

You show great discernment here and like everyone have a few additional considerations. First Aid? Lots of immediately available snacks and comfort emergency food, gum Rx drugs, aspirin, toilet paper, reliable, useful regional maps to go with the compass, lashing twine, (it's very light and compressible, but bulky); solar blankets never worked at all, much like bargain tents, also suggest underwear, glasses, stocking cap. You have a lot of tape, but what do you use so much tape for? Your folding handsaw is absolutely required, but what about a hatchet/hammer? I learned here about the faucet key and can't imagine NOT having this critical little tool now; an overlooked possibly lifesaving key to fresh, clean, reliable WATER in an emergency! Priceless! This is a fine bug-out bag, almost identical to my own that has been packed, tested, evaluated, edited countless times and repacked since the Loma Prieta earthquake of 1988?. We have the same stuff and nothing more. Good eye and headwork.

A very clever kit, but gloves are as important as nail clippers (very smart!). Also missing a small sharpening stone. Thats for your knife like the nail clippers for your hands.

My air force pilot knife comes with a sharpening stone. My Swiss knife has scissors which can cut nails. I added a small inexpensive Davis 22 LR derringer loaded with CCI shotshells for small venomous snakes in my survival gear.
