I LOVE HOW A SINGLE BAGPIPER STARTED TO PLAY A SONG ONE BY ONE THE OTHER MEMBERS OF THE SAME BAND STARTED POPPING OUT OF THE WOODWORK AND NOW YOU SEE THE ENTIRE BAND IS PLAYING TOGETHER

I've watched this multiple times over the last couple of years. Absolutely awesome. It is also very sad, knowing a bit of the story that goes with it, and I hope this video NEVER gets removed, as a life long tribute to N.R. may you rest in peace. And I hope your family knows that you are still bringing joy and happiness to many people around the world with your talent.

Thanks very much for taking the time to comment. Although I filmed this 7 years ago, I still enjoy it just a much each time I watch it. Hopefully Poppy Scotland might arrange another similar event.

We attended from Canada & just prior to this performance we scattered my wife's Mom's ashes behind the castle near the formal gardens. The bands & us had lunch inside Dunrobin then their encore was 'Amazing Grace'. A very memorable & emotional day.

Pity about the film quality @ the beginning but nevertheless an impressive sight - & sound. Also good to see they had quite a few young members to carry on our culture & traditions ! 😀

They didn't play 'Black Bear' as is written in the comments. The other tune besides Scotland The Brave is We're No Awa' Tae Bide Awa'.

Thanks for your comment. These people behind were late arrivals and were heading for the car park. I uploaded a few videos from this event and at least two of them I took from the top of the beautiful Dunrobin Castle.

Warmest thanks. I needed that cry (out of pride). 15 years in uniform and the Canadian Infantry; the bagpipes are dear to my heart. It’s one piece of kit the Scots got right. Talk about invoking emotions with the massed pipes and drums!! Big thanks again. Peace Be The Journey!

What makes it even more sad is the child playing Highland Cathedral at the start apparently took her own life four years later. (According to this source: jukeboxtimemachine.com/tag/highland-cathedral/)
